Review: Metamorphosis by Erin Noelle

5 Star Review by Annie

Scarlett MacGregor has lived a very sheltered life courtesy of her over-the-top controlling parents. Having never been to a co-ed party, much less on a date, Scarlett has relied on her books, her music, and living vicariously through her best friend Evie to keep her sanity as she's patiently awaited her freedom from their rule.

When Scarlett and Evie go away to college, Scarlett quickly meets Ashton, Dylan, and later, Mason, and is thrown into a crash course of like, love, and lust. With Evie's help, she must figure out the difference in the three and which one she wants before she ends up without any of them.

Metamorphosis is the story of Scarlett's transformation from a young, naive girl to a strong, mature young woman and her search for self-discovery and true love. Scarlett is finally free from the clutches of her overbearing parents when her childhood best friend, Evie, and her go off together to college. Evie has always been there for Scarlett when no one else has, well except all the hot guys in the books that they read about. Scarlett has to learn how to live life independently, as well as experience the things that normal college students have already done; like going to her first party, having her first real boyfriend and yes even her first sexual experiences. So when Scarlett and Evie come up with a game to find guys that represents their different book boyfriends it seems like the best idea ever. That is until she meets two completely different guys, that both capture different parts of her heart. What great book isn’t complete without a sexy love triangle? On one hand she has Ash, the typical suffer boy/college student who is a major player. Ash and Scarlett are drawn to each other right away, but the problem is they cannot get past the friend zone. On the other hand there is Mason a hot rocker with tons of tattoos and piercings. Scarlett is completely comfortable with him and is instantly sexually attracted to him. Then all of a sudden life throws Scarlett a curve ball and she has to learn to cope with it all by herself.

This book has everyone debating on whether they are Team Ash or Team Mason! If you haven’t read it yet, give it a try and pick your team. I absolutely love this book and I highly recommend it. Ambrosia is the second book in the series and is expected to be released sometime in June. I give this book 5 stars.
