4 Stars

I was really looking forward to this book.  Broken by Lies ended on a huge cliffy and I NEEDED to know what happened.  This book lets you know what happened and will leave you mad, angry, sad, frustrated and conflicted.

This book was fast pace action.  It left you wonder what was going to happen next and it was definitely a book that you had trouble walking away from.  You will want to devour it in one sitting.

You will have so many questions.  Did Alex die?  What happened to Saul and Antionio?  Will Sam finally get to be Emilia like he wants?  What will Emilia do if Alex dies?  Will she leave Alex because of who he is?

Emilia is in limbo with what to do and where to go from here.  She isn't sure where she should go.  She also doesn't know who to trust anymore.  Sam was safe to her, but he also lied to her.  She has no family.  Hopefully she makes the right decision and can make a life for herself that she wants and deserves.

This book was definitely a great read, but I was hoping for a little more.  It's hard to say what I was missing without spoilers (and I hate giving out spoilers).  So I recommend you read this book and make your own opinions.

Title: Fighting for Forever
Series: Fighting #6
Author: JB Salsbury
 Release Date: June 23, 2015

~ Blurb ~

Slut. Hooker. Whore.

The taunts never bothered me. They only see what I allow them to see, and a Las Vegas stripper is the perfect cover.

My life had direction. I had a mission—until the man I needed vanished and is presumed dead.

It’s time to move on—give up the dream for revenge—and no one shows me that more than the mop-headed fighter with eyes the color of the ocean.

If anyone can teach me just how sweet life can be, it’s him. But first, I’d have to let go.

Mase. Baywatch. Mayhem.

I’m known by many names, but there’s only one that stirs panic and worry in my gut every time I’m called it.

Brother.

I’ve bailed him out of trouble for years, so when he turns up in Vegas and asks for me, I’m prepared for the worst. And the worst is exactly what I get in the form of a lilac-eyed beauty named Trix.

She’s everything I hate about Vegas: a stripper, loose with her body and her morals. But there’s something about her, a complexity that she buries deep, and I’m determined to uncover it.

The deeper I go, the less I understand. When I finally learn the truth, we engage in a battle where life and death hang in the balance. Fighting could kill us both, but if we win, forever is the prize.

4.5 Stars

This book starts out with Josephine (Jo) who has just moved from Texas to NYC and is looking for a job since being a fashion blogger isn't paying the bills. She's up to her eyeballs and then some with her student loans and her rent payment, her parents think she's making a huge mistake of moving to NY and she's simply trying to prove everyone wrong from her small town.

She's received an invitation to the years hottest event and of course when she gets up to the front of the line to give them her name it isn't on the list. She's asked to step aside and wait for it to get sorted out. Meanwhile she's made eye contact with a hottie who is none other than Julian Lefray and then loses track of him while she's waiting. Her name is finally found on the list thanks to a misspelling of her name.

They eventually meet up again and she learns that he is taking over for his sister while she's 'ill' and lets him know that she applied for the position as an assistant with Lorena Lefray Designs. He's intrigued with her and when he gets home he looks over her resume and looks up her blog 'What Jo Wore' and knows he has to interview her.

She gets the job as his assistant while she somehow has to try to keep their relationship strictly professional even though they are both fighting their attraction to each other. She can't lose the job since she's so far in debt and doesn't want to admit to her parents they may have been right and he's afraid she'll quit if he pursues her.

Dean is Julian's best friend from college who is in the restaurant business who finally sets Julian straight about his feelings for Jo and Lily is Jo's best friend from home who eventually moves to NY and has her own blog about food--can you smell a book 2 about these two cooking??

This book is told from a dual POV and I loved knowing what they were both thinking. It was a very light hearted read as well as funny. If you haven't read any of her books before I would recommend all of them. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Change Rein by Anne Jolin

~ Synopsis ~

London Daniels is returning home to Willow Bay, Alberta, on the heels of a televised loss. She blew her shot at the Summer Olympics and cost Canada the gold medal in dressage.

During her years of training abroad, her family's stable has fallen on hard times, and thus, they’ve accepted an offer to board the racehorses of Branson Tucker, the infamous tycoon, for the winter.

London lacks conviction after her ill-fated fall. And as if returning to her hometown to watch her epic failure replay on everyone's big screen isn't torture enough, she’s expected to cater to a man with an ego bigger than her hundred-acre farm just to earn a dime.

Is London saddling up for another ride that will leave both her heart and her ass in the dirt? Or could the handsome, unwanted guest at Willow Bay Stables be her second chance to go for gold?

4.5 Stars

This book starts out with London Daniels competing in the Equestrian event at the Olympics. Due to an unfortunate event she suffers a fall that not only causes her pain from the injury itself but also her pride. She is humiliated with having to go home and see her family and her small town.

Enter in Branson Tucker. He's a man on a mission and that is to make London his. He is very much an alpha male but one who is incredibly sweet and very loving.

Fate throws these two together and you instantly can feel the chemistry these two have. You get a dual POV which I really like because you get to know what the other is feeling and thinking.

One of my favorite quotes was this one: London is remembering a conversation she had with her mom. "We are strong women, we are horse women, and when push comes to shove, sweet girl, we can always change rein, for a new direction never ceases to bring with it a new light."

This is a great first book in this series. It's a pretty quick read that held my attention and I just had to know what would happen next. Looking forward to more in the Willow Bay Stables series.

~ Anne Jolin Bio ~

Hey y’all,

I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns, and driving in trucks.

I never expected to be an author. A massage therapist? Yes. Take over the family construction company? Yes. But an author? No. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.

Since I’ve always been a creative person, it feels amazing to harness all of that energy and use it to tell a story I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write. What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell—what would be the fun in that?

If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.

Mad love,

Anne Jolin
