Blog Tour and Givewaway: Unbreakable by Rebecca Shea

~ Synopsis ~
Jessica Harper is the epitome of perfection. She’s a good daughter, makes excellent grades, and always strays on the safe side of life. The last thing she thought would ever happen was falling in love with her best friend’s brother. But sometimes fate just has a way of bringing two people together.

Wide receiver for the University of Arizona, Gabe Garcia, seems to have it all. When his feelings for Jessica come to surface, Gabe will give up everything to be with her.

But what happens when a tragedy abruptly changes the course of your life? For Jessica and Gabe, everything they thought they knew about each other will be questioned. Sometimes, there are scars in life that are cut too deep to completely heal.

Will their love prove to be unbreakable, or will it shatter and prove fate is just another lie?

*This book contains mature subject matter and is not intended for those under 17 years of age.*
~ Our Review ~
5 Star Review by Heather
This book is Ah-fucking-mazing!!  I did not want to put this book down. It drew me in from page one and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next.  It makes you feel like you are in the story.
“Every broken person’s worst fear—that no one will be able to love us in spite of our scars.”
Jess has had a pretty good life. Her dad was never there for her, but she had the Garcia family.  She practically lived with them.  She never meant to fall in love with her best friend’s brother, Gage, but she did.  They finally find a way to be together.  When the unthinkable happens are they able to work through it together?  Or does their relationship crumble?

“I promise you that I love you with everything that I am, and I want you to know that it is only you, it has only ever been you that I love.”
Gage is a hot football player.  He has always loved Jess, he just didn't know how much until he was away at college and she came to visit.  He decides to move home and pursue becoming a firefighter.  He decides to work  as much as possible so he can provide an amazing life for Jess.  Then one night tragedy hits and he is left trying to pick up the pieces.  Can he convince Jess that they can work through anything?  Or does he lose the only girl he will ever love?
“For the rest of my life, I will regret not fighting harder for you.  I should have fought harder for us.”
This book is really good.    Rebecca Shea sure knows how to write a heart warming story filled with love, loss, heart break and healing.  I am hoping for more books about the other Garcia siblings.

Avoiding him becomes impossible after he offers a business proposition Alayna can’t turn down and she’s drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull.

~ Our Review ~
4.5 Star review by Heather

This book is amazing.  Once you start reading it you won't want to put it down.   You will want to know more about Layne and Hudson.

Layne is trying to overcome the issues she has since her parent’s death.  She struggles with commitment.  She is in love with the idea of being in love.  So when she meets Hudson she thinks that playing by his rules she will be safe.  Can she learn to overcome her commitment issues? Can Hudson help her?
Hudson is the sexy rich bachelor who can have any woman he wants.  He has an evil mother who believes he is incapable of loving another person.  He wants to prove to his mother he can.  Will he be able to really love another person or has his mother really made him believe he can't?

This book is an amazing read.  I really want to know more about Layne and Hudson.  I guess that is good since there will be a sequel.  It wasn't really a cliffhanger so that is good!  This is definitely a recommended read.

Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine. She is represented by Bob Diforio of D4EO Literary Agency.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Tracks by Sarah Biermann

~ Synopsis ~

When Harvard Law student, Dylan Ackhart, moves to Boston with her best friend- the last thing she expects to find is Jeremy Mason. Jeremy is sexy, smart, and passionate- and currently the most famous rock star in the world.

From the first moment Dylan meets Jeremy, she's attracted to him. But she soon finds the fame and press can wear on you. Plus, Jeremy seems to be hiding things from her- including his relationship with the mysterious blue-haired girl.

Tracks takes you on a ride through the not so glamorous side of dating a rock star- sex, drugs, rock and roll.

~ Our Review ~
4 Star Review by Annie

Tracks starts off like your typical rocker love story filled with sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll, but it becomes so much more than that. It is a story about surviving your demons and learning how to overcome obstacles one at a time all for the sake of love.

After focusing her whole life on getting into Harvard, Dylan’s dreams are finally coming true. Nothing and no one is going to stand in her way. Or at least she wasn’t planning on it. Sometimes when you least expect it love will find you.

Jeremy is used to having the world at his fingertips. Anything he wants, he gets. With and unlimited amount of woman, alcohol and drugs he becomes powerless to the rock and roll lifestyle. That is until he finds something worth more than all of it. Something that makes him want to be a better man. Something in the form of a girl staring at him from the front row of his sold out concert with the most beautiful eyes he has ever seen.

This was an amazing tale of how sometimes love can truly conquer all, or at least you hope it does. This book has an amazing plot, and even more amazing characters that you will grow to love. It will have you rooting for their love to survive the whole way through until the very last page.

I give this book a 4 star review. I really really wanted to give it a higher rating because I liked this book so much, but the major downfall is it didn’t end. Even with an epilogue it just wasn’t fulfilling. I guess on the plus side is there will be a second book in the series. So maybe, just maybe I will get my ending after all.

~ Excerpt ~

I make a disgusted sound in my throat. “I am totally fucked up by what my mother did to me,” I say, still aghast at his reaction to my story.

“Fucked up?” he questions, confused. “Why? Because you’re shy? Because you’re private? Because you don’t like to be vulnerable? Because you strive to achieve great things to prove you’re good enough to be worth something?”

The way he instantly knows me makes me very uncomfortable. I freeze, wide eyed and unable to speak for a moment. How could he see me so clearly? How did this connection between us go so deeply? It was disturbing to me, the understanding between us. It’s deeper than even the physical pull between us, as if the air that separates our bodies is electrically charged. I had worked my whole life to push people away, building up this wall of protection. And yet here is this man, tearing it down and seeing who I am through all the bullshit. Maybe I'm not as good at hiding myself as I thought.

“Yeah,” I finally muttered. “Those reasons are pretty much why.”

“It makes you beautiful. The things you say it created in you... are what attract me to you in this unbelievable way. You’re timid, shy, brilliant, and completely unaware of how amazing you are.”

I go statue still. My heart feels like it’s going to explode at his words. How did our conversation
change course so quickly? I don’t know if I’m prepared for this. “Amazing?” I repeat in disbelief.

He smiles a catlike smile, like he’s hunting again. Immediately, my breathing increases. “Oh yes. When I first saw your eyes from the stage,” he leans closer to me. I want to both back away and lean toward him at the same time. “I wanted to make them roll back into your head. I wanted to grab your round hips and pull you close to me.” He crouches on the couch, one leg on and one leg off, leaning over me. With his face against my cheek again, he whispers in my ear, “You. Are. Breathtaking.”

Finding romance on vacation is one thing, but can their relationship withstand the demand of real life and once their past catches up with them will believing in each other’s truth save their future.

~ Excerpt ~

Sitting back, I try to relax again, but I’m hyped and overly aware of all the sounds around me. Cory comes through the glass sliding doors, and offers me a three finger Macallan then settles down into the lounge chair next to me with a drink of his own. There are some things in this world that you cannot skimp on, and a good scotch is one of them.
“Whoa, whose big ride? Wasn’t there five minutes ago,” Cory states.
“Yeah, seems like we’ll be having a neighbor for a couple of days,” I say nonchalantly.
“Neighbor? As in one?” Cory asks.
“Yeah, she’s a cute lil’ thang,” I drawl, laughing to myself. You can take the boy out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the boy.
“Hmmm, maybe she’ll want to come over later for our get together with the girls from this morning,” Cory grins to himself.
I let out a laugh, dividing my focus between Cory and the house across the drive path. “You trying to woo them with your cooking?”
“Hey! A lady has to appreciate a man who can grill, right?” Cory asks, taking of a sip of his scotch.
“Yes, a lady would, but those girls…” I raise a questioning eyebrow at my brother.
Cory laughs. “Yeah, okay, but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate what they have to offer me.”
“Okay, just don’t appreciate them so much that you can’t catch some waves tomorrow.” My brother and I have two different ideas of this vacation. Cory wants to meet as many girls as he can, I just want to catch as many waves and adrenaline rushes as I can.
“I won’t,” Cory chuckles and leans back in his chair facing the ocean. “Hey! You okay man? You’ve been quiet, and let me tap into what mom would say, umm, ‘reflective’, lately. What’s going on in that head of ours?”
I laugh at my brother’s concern. Cory and our mom have always been close. Cory is a year younger and is a bigger mama’s boy than I am. Whenever we’re looking out for each other, we always worry through our mom’s eyes, so to speak.
“Yeah, I’m fine, just finishing up school is stressful and then next year, you know.”
“Man, you just need a girl!” Cory states. This is not uncommon for him to say. It’s his answer for everything. Bored? Get with a girl. Going to get food? Get it with a girl. Going to buy toilet paper? Get it with a girl. Some part of Cory just doesn’t want to grow up, it seems.
