4 Star Review

This book was a fast, easy read.  I wasn't expecting some of the thins in this book and it shocked me.

Beth is suffering from not only a traumatic experience, but losing the guy she loved.  She decides that Coop is to blame for her bad experience so she cuts him out of her life.  She turns to alcohol and sex to help her forget.  When she meets Roman she feels a magnetic pull to him, but is scared to get close to him.  Can she open up? Or does she continue her downward spiral?

Roman has a lot of secrets.  He doesn't let anyone in and has no plans of letting Beth in, but he can't resist her.  He knows something has happened to her recently because she had become closed off and partying a lot more.  Can he get her to open up to him?  Or will she push him away?

This is book two in the Tease series. You learn a little about Beth in book one.  You don't have to read Tease, but I would recommend it because you learn about Coop and Beth's relationship.

~ Excerpt ~

I was beginning to realize what this was: he wanted more of the party girl. He was here to see the Beth who stayed out all night drinking, and kissing random girls and making out with handsome men.

Not me. Well, not the real me, anyway.

I slipped a finger through the tie of my robe, letting it fall open. I arched my shoulders, letting the material float down my shoulders. Goosebumps hit my arms as I stood there confidently. Inside, I was a screaming mess.

What the hell am I doing? What if he touched me? What if I freaked out?

Sure, I'd had plenty of sex since the rape, but none sober. I hadn't let anyone touch me without being completely smashed first.

He stared at me for a moment, his eyes wandering over my curves as time seemed to freeze. I couldn't read his expression, but the longer he stood there, watching me, the more I began to panic. Without saying a thing, he bent down and retrieved the robe, threading my arms back
into it.

"I'm not here to fuck you, Beth." He spoke softly, his hands running over the soft silk of my robe, down my arms to my fingers. I jumped back, both relieved and confused.

Well, this is embarrassing.

When love and music mix, will the combination blossom into a beautiful melody or wither into a heart-wrenching tune?

5 Star Review

This book was really good.  It was a fast, easy read.  It will have your emotions running though.

Hensley has one goal in mind and that is to get out of her small town. Her and her best friend, Dusty play music and want to make it big.  She stays away from boys, because she has no time for distractions and none have ever caught her eye.  That is until she catches the eye of a guy while setting up for a show on the corner of the street.  She can't keep her eyes off him and he is staring at her also.  She had no clue that he was going to be Dusty's new roommate.  She tries with everything she is to stay away from Colby, but she couldn't.   She doesn't want to be stuck in this town, but she doesn't know that she can leave him of she lets him in.  Will she open her heart to him? Or will she run?

Colby just wants to prove to his family that he can make a life in music.  He doesn't want anything to get in his way.  He needs to do this for someone special to him.  He is instantly drawn to Hensley and wants to get to know her.  She is hard to persuade to give him a chance.  Can he get her to open up?  Or will he realize that she isn't worth the risk of giving up his dreams?

This is an emotional read.  It had me on an emotional roller coaster.  One of the best reads that I have read in a long time.  This is a MUST read book.  Nacole Stayton has again hit it out of the ball park with this amazing story!!

I’m a thirty-two-year-old self-proclaimed book nerd.  Married to for nearly eleven years, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our two lovely children.  Writing is a newly acquired fun hobby for me.  In the past, I’ve enjoyed the role as a reader.  However, recently, I learned that I absolutely love taking on the creative role as the writer.  Something about determining how the story will play out intrigues me to no end.  My husband claims that it’s because I like to control things—in a way, he’s right!
By day, I run around from appointment to appointment, wearing many hats including, mom, wife, part-time graphic designer, blogger, networker, social media stalker, student, business owner, and book boyfriend hunter.  (It’s actually a thing—complete with pink camo.  I lurk around the internet, “researching” pictures of hot guys who fit the profile of whatever book boyfriend I’m reading or writing about)
I guess you can blame my obsession with books on my lovely grandmother, who is quite possibly my favorite person on the planet.  At an early age, she took me to the half-priced bookstore each weekend and allowed me to choose a book.  Every single time, she caved when I begged for two.  Without her encouragement, I wouldn’t have been able to cope during some hard times without my beloved books.
Currently, I am finishing up my college degree that has taken me forever to complete.  It’s just on the list of my many “bucket-list” goals that I subject myself to.
Most days, you can find me firmly planted in front of my computer.  It’s my life.  If the world ever loses power, I’d be one of the first to die—of boredom!  But I guess as long as I have books and a light, I might just survive.
Looking forward, you can expect to see two more novels in the Breaking the Rules Series.  I’m nearly finished with the third.  Also, I have a standalone novel that will be released soon as well.
This writing experience has been a blast, and I’ve met some really fabulous people along the way.  I hope my readers enjoy reading my stories as much as I do writing them.  I look forward to connecting with you all!

Kathryn is a simple country girl who likes to spend time with her hubba, hunka hubby, her three kids and her friends. She loves to cook and really loves to eat! During the spring and summer, you will more than likely find her outside puttering around in her garden. When the veggies start coming in, she will probably be sweating over a hot canner in the kitchen, canning all the goodies she is blessed with. Kathryn likes to hike and go camping, and as a Girl Scout leader, she gets to do this pretty often! On cold winter nights, you will probably find her wrapped in a warm blanket, lost in a good book, while sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch!

Kathryn was born and raised in North Carolina, and while she loves to travel, she can't imagine ever leaving the mountains that she has come to call home. Not a day goes by that Kathryn doesn't thank God for abundantly blessing her. He has been so good to her, and she is very grateful. She holds Jeremiah 29:11 very close to her heart and believes it with every fiber of her being. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Kathryn loves flip flops, chocolate, sweet tea and dirt between her toes. As far back as she can remember, she's had a book in her hand. Reading has carried her to places she will never go. It has introduced her to people that she will never meet. When life is great and when it is rough, she's always been able to find a book to carry her through. She finally decided to write down some of the stories in her head (yes, be scared) and heart after dawdling around and wasting years dreaming. She hopes you enjoy reading those stories as much as she loves writing them!

5 Star Review

This book was ah-mazing!!  I didn't want to put it down.  It was a long book, but didn't feel long.  I am happy and sad that this book ended.  Sad because I have to wait for book two and happy that I get more Tara, Riley and Cole.

Tara is trying to find herself after a two year long relationship that didn't go well.  She was always told she wasn't good enough.  She needed to find herself and where she belonged in life.  She was instantly attracted to Cole when she sees him. Though she doesn't know his name her and her best friend Kelli, called him Mr. Hotbod.  She was embarrassed to talk with him after Kelli and her big mouth. She then meets Riley through Kelli and her boyfriend Cooper. She wants him  and feels drawn to him, but doesn't know if she can handle a long distance relationship.  She has issues with trust and doesn't think she can handle constantly wondering what is happening.  Will she give Riley a chance? Or does she open up to Mr. Hotbod?

Riley is content with his life.  He doesn't need a girl since his girlfriend broke him.   He is shocked by the connection he feels for Tara the moment he meets her.  He doesn't want to push her because he feels she is special and wants a chance to get to know her.  He knows it won't be easy having a long distance relationship, but knows it will be worth it.  Can her convince her to give him a shot?

Cole is a manwhore.  Always with a different girl and never gives a girl a second time.  He is happy the way his life is going.  Until he meets Tara and she turns his life upside down.  Making him want things he shouldn't.  Will he have his chance at Tara?  Or does his manwhore ways scare her off?

This is an intense book. It had me on the edge of my seat hoping for things to happen or not to happen.  I really LOVE Riley.  He was so sweet and charming.  Though he wasn't perfect, but who is?
Now I had a lot of issues with Cole, but by the end of the book he had me rooting for him.
I am so torn with who I want Tara to end up with.  I think that I will always be Team Riley.  I cannot wait for book two so I can see what happens between all these people.
I loved all the secondary characters also.  Jason, Marcus, Jay, Kelli and Cooper.  I really would like to see a book on all of them.  This is a definite MUST read book.  I think Lisa Edwards did an amazing job drawing emotions out of me and making me feel like I was in the story.
