Blog Tour: Make It Count by Megan Erickson

~ Synopsis ~

MAKE IT COUNT by Megan Erickson kicks off the lighthearted, funny, and sexy Bowler University series! Readers will love the fresh new series filled with laughter and lots of fun in this debut novel!

Kat Caruso wishes her brain had a return policy, or at least a complaint hot-line. The defective organ is constantly distracted, terrible at statistics, and absolutely flooded with inappropriate thoughts about her boyfriend's gorgeous best friend, Alec...who just so happens to be her brand new college math tutor. Who knew a nerd could be so hot?

Kat usually goes through tutors like she does boyfriends--both always seem to bail when they realize how hopeless she is. It's safer for her heart to keep everyone at arm's reach. But Alec is always stepping just a little too close.
Alec Stone should not be fantasizing about Kat. She's adorable, unbelievably witty, and completely off limits. He'd never stab his best friend in the back...

But when secrets are revealed, the lines of loyalty are blurred. To MAKE IT COUNT, Alec must learn messy human emotions can't be solved like a trigonometry function. And Kat has to trust Alec may be the first guy to want her for who she is, and not in spite of it.

~ Review ~
4 Stars

This book is a fun romantic book.  There isn't a lot of angst which I like. It will have you laughing in places.
Kat is struggling to stay in school.  She cannot fail another class or they will withdraw you from the school.  She isn't liking any of her tutors.  She isn't stupid and she hates that they make her feel that way.  So when her boyfriends best friend shows up as her tutor she isn't sure what to do. She doesn't want anyone to know about her problem, but she needs to stay so she can pass statistics.  What happens when you start to fall for your boyfriends best friend?
Alec is still heartbroken over his high school sweetheart and him no longer being together.  He doesn't know if he can open himself up to that heartache again.  He is excited to finally get a student to tutor because that helps keep him busy.  To say he is shocked Kat is his student is an understatement.  He doesn't understand what's going on.  If she is struggling then she must not be the air head people she her as.  He watches her try her hardest and she still can't grasp simple things.  He is trying his hardest to help her. He is also having trouble keeping his attraction to her hidden.  He wants her, but he will not betray his best friend.  Even if they still weren't dating?  Can he help Kat?  Will he keep her at a distance?
I cannot wait for more books in this series!!  There are so many fun characters in this series.  Plus this book was a fun read.  Hopefully they all stay fairly lighthearted!!!

~ Author Bio ~

Megan worked as a journalist covering real-life dramas before she decided she liked writing her own endings better and switched to fiction.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kids and two cats. When she's not tapping away on her laptop, she's probably listening to the characters in her head who won't stop talking.
