~ Synopsis ~
Laney Walker is a quick witted, athletic, southern tomboy who lets few get too close, using her sarcastic zingers to deflect. She also has no idea how others view her, Evan having protected and coveted her since they were children. But college puts a gap between Laney and Evan that neither of them were prepared for- old relationships are tested, new ones are formed and nothing will ever be the same.

OMG OMG OMG I didn't realize that this book was going to be a love triangle when I started
reading it! These are one of my favorite types of books to read. This book was ah-mazing. It had my stomach in knots and wanting to knock some sense into them.
Laney is a Tom boy. She was raised by her single father and grew up playing softball and
going fishing. She had no interest in boys. She focused on playing ball and getting into the same college as her best friend Evan. That was their dream to always be together. When she doesn't hear from UGA she has to make plans for another college. They don't anticipate how hard it is to be apart. Layne isn't use to being alone, but soon makes friends with her roommate and a group she meets during the Hall Crawl(a college ritual where all the girls go to the guys rooms and meet them). She instantly has a connection with Dane, and that scares her because it has never happened before. Does she love Evan or is she in love with Evan? Can she give Dane a chance and still be best friends with Evan?
Evan is a football star. He has been best friends with Layne for years. He has always wanted her,
but didn't want to ruin their friendship. One night their senior year of high school he finally opens
up and tells her and they finally start dating. He doesn't want to go to college without her, but she tells him to go because she doesn't want him to give up his dream for her. He goes away and starts partying and drinking a lot. He knows that he loves Layne, but he hides that he is partying all the time. Afraid that she will know that her fears were right. Can he save his relationship with Layne? Or does he ruin it?
Dane is a very closed off secret person. He instantly wants to know all about the quirky girl go walks into his brother’s dorm room for the Hall Crawl. He knows she is shy, but behind that he can see the fire that she hides. Can he be the man for her? Can he finally open up to her?
