4.5 Stars
This book is really interesting. In a way it makes me think of Hunger Games,
but it is different.
Prentiss is walking to work when she sees a man on the side
of the road with a body laying beside him.
The next thing she knows is her world goes black. Every time she wakes up they make her world
go black again. Finally she wakes up with several others. She has no idea what is going on. She
recognizes a few people and the person she needs the most is nowhere
around. Can she help save the people and
get them out? Or will she get scared
away from watching someone who was rebelling get killed?
Cannot wait to read book two in this six book serial. Cannot wait to figure out what is
happening. Also will Jackson come and
help rescue Prentiss? Or is he captured
also?

OMG this book is amazing.
I can't get enough of Prentiss. I
have so many questions I need answered.
Prentiss is finally in a position to get some answers. Or so she hopes. She is still trying to find a way to save her
friends and brother. The people she
expects to help her aren't willing to.
She makes some friends with the least likely people, but can they help
her. Finally she thinks she can get
answers from Gallarin, the brother of the head person who is in charge. They
get stuck working the barn together. But
tragedy strikes before she gets any answers.
Will she get them? Or will she
lose her chance?
This is a great second book and I cannot wait to read book
three. I need to know what is going
on. Is Jackson still alive? Will Prentiss do anything to save herself and
her friends? Will she fall for Gallatin?

Things are really heating up in this book. I cannot wait to
find out some answers. I keep waiting for them to be answered, but I know that
we will find out all the answers we need,
Prentiss is starting to question a lot since she woke up
injured. She is starting to have
feelings for Gallatin. She knows she
shouldn't, but it is hard. She needs to
regain her focus and help her and her friends escape. She is having a hard time with wanting to be
with Jackson because a couple friends have hinted that he isn't perfect and he
has hurt Prentiss. Can she really find a way to rescue everyone? Will she fall for Gallatin? Will that be the biggest mistake of her
life?
This is an amazing third book in this serial. I need more.
I cannot wait to read book 4-6!!
I am hoping I get more answers about Jackson next book since it is
titled Jackson.

Omg this series keeps getting better and better. I need to know what is going to happen
next. My emotions are so conflicted
right now.
Prentiss is falling for Gallatin, but knows she shouldn't
be. She has Jackson then guy she's been
with for years. She finally gets answers
to questions, but she thinks they are lies.
She wants to believe Gallatin, but it's hard. After a tragic event she knows she needs to
find a way to save everyone. But she
doesn't know how with the band of rogues out there. Who's side are they one? Will they help her?
This is an amazing serial and I cannot was to read the rest
of the series! This is a must read
series!!

This book is amazing.
I don't know how much better this series can get, but with the final
book left I'm sure it's going to blow me away.
Prentiss has finally found Jackson and is excited to rescue
her friends. She is also sad because she
doesn't want Gallatin hurt. No one
understands what they are doing like she does.
They won't listen to her. She
finally leaves only to run back. Can she
save her friends before Jackson and the rogues invade the camp? Or will she lose some of the people who mean
the most to her?
This is an amazing series and I definitely recommend reading
them all. You will not be able to put
these books down. I cannot wait to read
book six. But I almost don't want to because I am not ready to leave these
characters!!!

I loved this serial novella set. I am sad that it is over and I WANT
more. I NEED more!!!!
Prentiss has worked so hard to save her town and
friends. She was attacked by the rogues
and had to fight for her life and Gallatin's life. She knew she needed to save Gallatin. He
wasn't a bad person. But how could she
get the others to listen and agree with her?
What will happen in the conclusion to this series?
This is an amazing serial. You must pick up these books and
read them. You don't want to miss this
series. Leigh did an amazing job making
me feel emotions in this series.

romance that it didn't drive the story, but it most definitely will satisfy
those who love a great love story.” –Roxy’s Reviews

even a band of what I call the demented lost boys." –What’s Beyond Forks

Behind the Stars
By Leigh Talbert Moore

The guards moved among us, placing
dentist-office Dixie cups of what looked like water in front of everyone. A
separate guard came to where I sat on the floor, clutching my knees. She
lightly took my arm.
“Please return to the table.” Her
voice was smooth. “You’ve had a shock. Have some water.”
I wasn’t about to drink anything
they gave us. It was Day One all over again, only this time, it was Guyana. We
were all being served the Kool-Aid. Next stop, mass graves.
Stupidly, my friends and fellow
prisoners had no such qualms. Didn’t anybody watch the History channel? I
stared as they all took shaky sips without hesitation.
“Just take a small sip.” The female
guard was still with me. “It’ll calm you.”
My throat constricted. My whole
body was on revolt. Shaking my head, I didn’t meet her eyes. I only stared at
the white cup of water. Braxton was at my side, and he drained his. What the
hell made him do that? Did he want to
die?
Seconds ticked past and nothing
happened. Nobody passed out. Nobody did anything strange—except forget what
we’d just witnessed here. Braxton picked up his fork to finish his lunch. They
all did. Like one of us had not just
been taken out “swiftly and finally.”
Only he had, and I was reeling from
the shock.

Prentiss
“Hearing that story makes me wish I
could have been the one to protect you,” he said.
“I don’t need your protection,” I
sniffed. “I’m little, but I can take care of myself.”
“Everyone needs help. Sometimes.”
He reached up and slid the hair back from his face exposing the scar on his
cheek.
I didn’t know how to answer that. I
still didn’t know how he’d gotten those scars, but more than that, I didn’t
know who I wanted protecting me now.
I stepped through the fence. “I
guess this is good-night,” I whispered.
“Sleep well, doctor.”
I shook my head and sneaked past
the cabins across the dark yard and into the dormitory. Once inside I stood for
several minutes with my face pressed against the doorjamb.
Why was this happening? I wasn’t
this kind of person. Other girls got their feelings all mixed up over boys, but
I didn’t. That question had been settled in my mind years ago, and yet here I
was acting like a starry-eyed little twit. I was failing in my job to rescue
us. Everyone was counting on me, and here I was useless, fighting this battle
with myself. I had to get it together. I had to get myself back on track, for
all of us.
