4 Stars
I have been excited for Lindsay and Matt to get their story finally. After the epilogue in Undone I was scared what was going to happen. I am happy that I finally got the book, but sad that it is over. I NEEDED more.
Lindsay acts like her life is perfect when really she is falling apart on the inside. She knows that she loves Matt and will never love another man. She wants him, but when her dream job comes knocking at her door does she make the right decision? Can she keep Matt and move across the country for a job? Will she be able to survive life without Matt?
Matt thought life was perfect. He couldn't be happier than he was. He had the woman of his dreams living with him. The only complaint was that Lindsay worked too much. He focus tended to be on work over family and friends. He understood her need to prove herself. He wanted her to live her dreams. He just expected to be more of her dreams. When she left him for a job it broke him. He was devastated and didn't know how to coop with it so he worked long hours. Can Matt get her back? Will he be able to forgive what she did to them?
This is a book full of heartache and pain. I felt so bad for Matt in this book. I even cried several times for him. He was a man and he finally learned to be happy with himself. He needed the growth after what Lindsay did to him. He is my favorite of all the guys in this series. Now I couldn't stand Lindsay the first half of the book. I was actually tempted to not finish, but I had to know what happened to Matt. Lindsay was self centered and selfish in this book. It was really hard to like her. She did grow towards the end, but she wasn't my favorite person. I am happy that Lindsay and Matt found their happy endings!!!
One thing that I didn't like was this isn't Lindsay and Matt's love story it was more about Lindsay and her trials in life. And I wasn't prepared for that.

~ Excerpt ~
“Two days, Jack. I need two days. Give me that. Stall them.”
There is a large sigh on the other end of the phone, and what sounds like a hand hitting a table. “You have until noon on Monday.”
“Thank you, Jack.” He disconnects the phone without saying goodbye. I know he’s pissed. I catch a glimpse of Matt leaning against the doorframe of the bedroom. His head has fallen forward and he stares at the ground.
“Talk to me,” I say as I walk over and wrap my arms around him.
“What do you want me to say, Lindsay? It sounds like you have a great opportunity—and I’ll be damned if I’m going to be the person to hold you back from that.” His dark brown eyes meet mine.
“What would you do if you were me?” I ask him.
“That’s easy. I’d choose you because I love you and you mean more to me than any job or any opportunity. But Lindsay, I won’t stop you from chasing this dream. You’ll live with your decision for the rest of your life. I never want to be a decision you regret.” He pulls away from me as he turns toward the hallway. “But promise me something, will you?” I nod at him as a lump forms in my throat. “Follow your heart. I know you better than you know yourself and I know how your brain works— listen to your heart.”
