~ Synopsis ~
Schizoaffective disorder: a mental illness in which a person experiences a combination of mood disorder and schizophrenia symptoms.
I know about this illness—very well—because I suffer from it. It’s been four years since my diagnosis, and ever since, I’ve been living in a dark hole. Voices constantly invading my thoughts. Hallucinations. All of which force me to question if what I’m experiencing is even reality.
But here I am, still hanging on, still breathing and living through it.
That is, until he stumbled into my life. Logan Reed. I don’t want any part of him. I’ve pushed him away, but he isn’t easily deterred. I’ve told him I’m different, but he doesn’t care. He’s trying to slowly break me down. I’m trying just as hard not to let him. He doesn’t know how truly damaged I am; what will happen when he does?
I know the truth—he’ll never be able to look at me the same way again. Just like everybody else.

4 Stars
This book was good. It was tough to read in places because it is dealing with a mental disabiltiy. Which can be very hard for everyone involve. I felt sad for Jenna throughout this book and I wanted to punch her mom.
Jenna
is struggling with Schizoaffective disorder. She is content to
be alone. She lives mostly in her room. She is lucky to
have Charlie come and make her get out of bed and live. Her mom
doesn't help either. She is mean and seems to hate Jenna.
Jenna just wants her mom, but doesn't know how to reach her.
She is thrown into helping with the building of the guest house. She
ends up running into Logan, one of the workers. She feels
things for him that she tries to hide, because it's easier to not
feel. But he is persistent and tries to break down her walls.
Will he succeed? Or does he run once he learns about her
disorder?
Logan
is just going through the motions of life. He is in a
standstill not sure which way to go. He's content with random
hookups and he is a douche to woman. That all changes the day
he meets Jenna. He knows she is hiding something, but he never
would of guessed what it was. Now he needs to decide, can love
conquer all? Or is it all too much?
This
is a great book of loss, heartbreak, love and how to cope with a
mental illness. It isn't easy, but if you truly love yourself and are
loved you are worth the fight!!
I
only have this book a 4 because I felt it drug on in places and I
really needed more at the end. It seemed too abrupt to me.
