Blog Tour and Giveaway: All Lined Up by Cora Carmack

~ Synopsis ~

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.

In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.

Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.

But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.

Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.

Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.

And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

5 Stars

I really loved this book.  I was excited to read another football book that will be a series. I love football!!

Dallas has sworn off all football players.  She wants nothing to do with football ever again.  If only, her dad wasn't the coach of Rusk University.  The same university she attends.  It's hard to date and be taken series when your dad is one of the most popular coaches around.  Either boys want you to get closer to daddy or they are afraid to date you because they don't want to lose their spot on the team.  Dallas just wants a normal chance with a guy.  She thinks she has that with Carson until she shows up on the field and sees him practicing.  Will she let her guard down and open up to him?  Or will she walk just because he is a football player?

Carson has two goals in mind: get a scholarship to play football and get good grades so he can play.   Girls and partying have no place in his life now.  He needs to stay focused.  That's easier said then done especially when a girl as hot as Dallas literally drops right into your lap.  He doesn't know who she is so he doesn't see any reason why he should be with her.  He wants to continue being friends with her, but can they keep it at a friend level?  Will he be able to work towards his goal with Dallas by his side? Or does he lose focus of everything?

This is an amazing first book in the Rusk University series!!  I cannot wait to read more of this series.  This book had me from page one. It was hard to put down as I just wanted to know what was going to happen next.  Now I am bummed it's over and I have to wait for book two!!
