4.5 Star Review by Annie

Note: If you have not read Connected, stop everything you are doing. Put the kids to bed, tell the husband to go away and read it NOW! You will not be disappointed.
Torn will give any soap opera a run for their money. He was dead, then he was alive, she loved him, he loved her, but then another guy loved her too…..It was like WTF. My head is spinning. Way too much drama, but in the end we FINALLY get to have our happily ever after moment, but with who? I guess you will have to read it to find out!
At the end of Connected I was pissed off. How could we be left in such suspense and despair? Everything the whole book was about came crashing down around us. It was all based on lies, and one hell of a plot twist!
Torn starts off right where we were left in Connected.  Dahl was finally getting her life together with River, the sexy hot rock god. That is until Ben, her DEAD fiancĂ© pops back up. I don’t mean like a zombie, I mean like alive/faked death/new identity.  Secrets come out and lies are finally revealed. Dahl, River and Ben all have to figure out where they go from here.  This leaves Dahl torn in two by her past and her present.  Does she go with River, the love of her life or Ben, her first love?

I love River, I mean HELLO you would have to be blind, dumb and crazy not to. He is sexy and everything about him screams sex appeal. HOLY WET PANTIES!  To me he makes the book.  While Ben on the other hand, just doesn’t sit well with me. He made a bad decision at the beginning, and that is where my hatred for him started. I just could not get myself to like his character. I tried, Lord knows I tried.
Kim Karr did an amazing job with this book. This book had an amazing soundtrack that constantly played in my head as I read this book. I loved the alternating POV, but at times it did seem a little slow paced. I cannot wait for Mended , where we get Zander and Ivy’s story.  I give this book 4.5 Stars.

~ About the Author ~

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I've always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.

I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don't need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There's nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore--it's time I love and cherish.

I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart.

Connected was my debut novel and is currently available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble , iTunes and Kobo.

Torn is the sequel to Connected and will be released on October 1st, 2013. It is available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes.

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
