Blog Tour: Loving Dallas by Caisey Quinn

~ Synopsis ~

In the second novel in bestselling author Caisey Quinn’s Neon Dreams series, a country rock band and its members embark on the rocky road to fame and find love along the way.

Dallas Lark is so close to achieving his dream of making it big in country music that he can taste it. Arriving in Nashville after signing with sexy, successful manager Mandy Lantram, his life goes from tragedy and turmoil to one lucky break after another—except it isn’t really luck because Dallas has sacrificed everything for his career, leaving behind his band, sister, best friend, and high school sweetheart, Robyn, in the pursuit of fame.

Robyn Breeland is a successful marketing coordinator and promotions specialist for a thriving liquor distributor out of Texas. She loves every aspect of her job: coming up with new ideas, traveling, hosting promotional parties and exclusive events—until it brings her face-to-face with the man who broke her heart, prompting her to erect a steel cage around it.

When their paths collide and they’re forced to work together, Dallas and Robyn realize that the old spark they thought they’d extinguished might still be a burning
flame.

5 Stars

As usual, Caisey Quinn is amazing! This story is a continuation of Leaving Amarillo. At first, I was confused about why the story didn't continue with Gavin and Dixie, but once I started reading I understood it all.

Dallas is finally living his dream on the road, or is he? He lost his love Robyn back when they were teenagers. Dallas is realizing that he wants that love back. He has a chance run-in with Robyn, who is the promotions manager for the tour Dallas landed.

Robyn has secrets and is completely floored when she finds out Dallas Walker is really her Dallas Lark. She knows she still has feelings for him, however, if they are ever to move on from the past she must tell him why she let him go all those years ago.

This story is a beautiful second chance. I am very excited to read what Caisey has in store in her next book!

The universe must hate me. No, it must downright fucking despise me.
Of all the concerts in all the world, she has to be at mine. In fucking Denver of all places. Literally the last place in the universe I would expect to see her.
My mind can’t stop replaying our exchange. Or how lovingly that dress clung to her mouthwatering curves. Seeing her conjured up memories I keep firmly locked in the box of Robyn that I never open. Ever.
Seeing her unexpectedly reminded me of the first time I ever laid eyes on her and practically transported me back in time.
“God, I love this song,” she’d announced the night we met. “Come dance with me.”
She’d grabbed my hand with surprising strength for a petite redhead who couldn’t have weighed a hundred pounds soaking wet. She had the kind of raspy voice that instantly made you think of dirty talk. Or maybe that was just me. I had just turned sixteen and was basically a hard-on with a pulse.

Gavin had raised his eyebrows and smirked as she dragged me closer to the truck blaring the music. She shook her sexy ass and sang at the top of her lungs, off key, but proudly off key. I couldn’t take my eyes or my hands off her. For several years.

5 Stars

I loved this book.  I didn't want to put it down.  I had to know what was going to happen.  This book had my hooked from page one.  I was drawn to Jax in Fragile Lies and I couldn't wait for him to find his HEA.  It was a battle getting there and at times I wanted to jump in there and smack some sense into him and  others I wanted to be there to comfort him and tell him that everything would be alright.

Cassie is struggling to work, be a single mom and make sure that her son Ben has everything he needs.  She doesn't have time to date.  Though Jax is trying to change that.  He wants to get to know her.  She's hesitant because she doesn't have a lot of time and she doesn't want to spend any more time away from Ben, but she can't introduce Jax and Ben yet.  Will she let Jax in?  Will Ben and Jax be a good fit?

Jax is what everyone thinks a twenty year old college kid should be like.  He goes to school, hangs out, drinks and has a great time.  He is having issues now that his best friend Will and his sister Ryanne are living together.  He found himself out of a roommate and living with his mom.  He doesn't mind living with his mom because it gives him time to get to know her more.  He doesn't like that he feels like he lost his best friend though.  He knows the minute he sees Cassie that he wants to get to know her.  Can he fit her into his life?  Will he be okay with her having a son?

This book is amazing.  It deals with real life issues.  Ones that I'm sure most of us have had to deal with.  Not all of us get the same results as this book.  I cannot wait to read Roxy's story.  I know there is a story in Roxy's past that is going to break our hearts, but I can't wait to see who is there to help her pick up all the pieces of her heart and make it whole.

~ Excerpt ~

“Jax,” I breathed. I reached behind me, grasping for the door handle to my backseat. When it opened, I pulled his face away from my chest. His lips were red from thoroughly kissing me. His chest was heaving and his eyes were glazed. I smiled and tugged on his hand. I climbed inside my car, lying back on the seat. He crawled on top of me and shut the door behind him. Without pause, he helped me out of my light jacket and tossed it in the front. He pulled my shirt over my head and went back to attacking my breasts. I wrapped my arms around him and ran them over his back. He had never been skin and bones, but now he had more definition. He wasn’t too bulky, there was just enough there that my arousal kicked up another five notches. I pulled on his shirt, whipping it over his head. He smirked at me, taking my bra off. “Cassie,” he said, his voice reverent and so full of want that it almost hurt to hear it. “Fuck. I never thought I’d be able to touch you, kiss you again. Now that I started, I’m not sure I can ever stop.” “Don’t stop. Don’t ever stop.” He leaned down and pulled a nipple into his mouth. I cried out. His hand slid down my abdomen, my muscles twitching as he moved over them. He popped the button of my jeans and slid down the zipper before slipping his hand inside. He traced his finger over my panties. He groaned. “Fuck, Cassie.” His whole body went still and stiff, his head buried in my neck. “I think I’m going to die. Right here, right now. If I wake up tomorrow and this was a dream, I don’t think I can go on with life.” “It’s not a dream, Jax. I’m here, with you.” He regarded me and the pain in his eyes caused my heart to squeeze painfully. It seemed as though he was about to say something, but instead, he devoured my lips and slipped a finger inside me. I arched my back, ripping my lips away from his. The sensation, the feeling, it was so much. Too much. “God, you feel so good.” He buried his face in my neck again and kissed, licked, nibbled it. My mouth was wide open, as were my eyes, as he moved his fingers inside me magically. I couldn’t think about anything but the feel of his fingers and the way he was playing my body like a guitar. He still knew exactly how to touch me in such a way that, before long, my hips were bucking against his and I screamed out his name. He slipped his hand out of my jeans, moving up to brush my hair out of my face. He studied my face as though he’d never see it again. My mind was still coming back down to Earth as he helped me put my bra and shirt back on. Before I knew it, he was sitting next to me, pulling his shirt on. He kissed my lips, long and passionate and so amazingly. I wanted his hands on me again, even though they’d been gone only been a few minutes. “I don’t want to leave you, Cassie, but if I don’t leave now, we’re never leaving this parking lot,” he said, then pressed a kiss to my forehead. I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him. I never wanted this feeling to end.

5 Stars by Heather

This book is amazing.  I loved it and couldn't put it down once I started. It kept me on my toes trying to guess who the killer was.  I would think it was someone and then change my mind.  Love when a book keeps me guessing and changing my thoughts.

Jason and Aylee are supposed to work together to find who is killing these woman.  There partnership starts off shaky because Jason works alone, but slowly Aylee starts to prove herself.  The chemistry between them is off the charts.

L.P. Dover knows how to grab her readers attention and hold it until the last page.  I look forward to more books by her!!!

5 Stars by Guest Reviewer Brittany

Once again, L.P. Dover doesn't disappoint. No Limit is a spin off of her Gloves Off Series. While this book can be read alone, I would highly recommend the reading the Gloves Off series too.

In No Limit, Jason Avery is a cop going under cover. Escorts in Las Vegas are turning up dead and Jason wants to find out who it is. He's used to being alone. That is until Aylee, who's with the FBI, comes into the picture. Jason soon learns he can't complete this mission without her. And will he be able to be without her once this is over?

I absolutely loved this book and I want more!

4.5 Stars

This book picked up right where the third in the Enthrall trilogy ended!!
So if you don't want spoilers for the Enthrall trilogy then read no farther.

I was so happy with Mia's choice at the end of the Enthrall trilogy.  I love Cam and Richard both, but there was just something about Cam that I loved more.  I almost felt cheated on the Enthrall series because I didn't get to see what happened with Cam and Richard, Richard and Mia and Cam and Mia.  So when I heard there was going to be more I was super excited!!!!

I loved how Mia finally got what she wanted.  Cam was the man she wanted, but she also loved Richard.  Now that she has Cam will she have the life she's always wanted?   Their relationship is going to have some bumps in the road.  Will they be able to survive them?

Cameron has a lot to work through. He needs to let go of the past, he needs to deal with his parents wanting him to take over the business.  Can he bring Mia into this mess?

This book was amazing and another book I didn't want to put down.  I loved Cam throughout this book, but he really pissed me off at the end.  This book ended on a huge cliffy and I need book two now so I can see what happens.

~ Excerpt ~

CHAPTER 1

OBSESSION.
Only now did I understand its true torment.
I’d personally become acquainted with the misery of an impossible conquest.
These endless laps in this ice-cold ocean failed to provide my usual clarity, because all thoughts led back to her.
Mia Lauren.
She’d bypassed my defenses. I both loved and cursed her existence for shaking the foundation of my BDSM empire that I rule with a firm and steady hand. My ability to master every moment and everyone around me had been compromised.
The ocean swelled and lifted me, carrying me out farther.
Powering on, slicing through with each breaststroke, my Malibu beach house grew ever more distant. This current called for a certain focus. A practiced discipline. A precise breath control.
Mia.
Back in my head, like a forbidden temptation.
Yet she remained innocent in all this. Having seduced her into our world and delivered her to my best friend and business partner Richard Booth, I truly believed I’d implemented my usual genius. I’d presented her as the ultimate prize.
The plan had been simple enough: find a compatible candidate, study the subject, methodically analyze her every behavior, influence her motivations and manipulate them to dovetail my own, place her under a psychological microscope until her every action could be predicted and my desired outcome guaranteed.
Richard’s life had hung in the balance due to his reckless daredevil stunts that included climbing skyscrapers in order to leap off them, and when that no longer got his rocks off, diving into shark infested waters for fun.
I had to ground the bastard.
Provide a distraction. The love of a woman.
Pure. Innocent. Malleable.
A stunning twenty-one-year-old—the perfect prescription.
I’d effortlessly drawn upon my critical ability to comprehend the psyche of our subject, the sweet and innocent Mia Lauren, who was presented as ideal. I’d chosen her from a slew of potentials and plucked her out of the mundane. She held a timidity that was easily enhanced by her ravishing beauty, and a femininity that left men swooning around her. A flawless representation of the sacred feminine.
Her desire to please was a perfect trait for a submissive.
Harsh, perhaps, but the alternative for Richard was unimaginable. He was going to fucking kill himself.
The objective to find the right applicant had gone…swimmingly. Right up until the point I’d fallen for her. All I had to do was train her. Break her. Prime her. Ready her.
Tame her.
But she’d trapped me instead.
My once ironclad will was tossed into disarray.
I’d broken the one true rule and fallen for the submissive I was training for someone else.
Fucking unprofessional.
I was fourteen years older than her, yet her feistiness threw me off guard. Her relentless strength, her presence, stirred a primal desire to possess her.
I had to get a grip.
Pushing harder, I fought the rolling waves coming at me.
If I kept this pace up, my energy would fade several miles out and, if caught in a riptide, I’d be screwed. When that realization hit me, I began the swim back to shore.
“Master,” her tone breeched my defenses. “I am yours.” Her words reached me like no other submissive before her.
And like the idiot I was, I’d insisted on delving deeper into her mind, exploring this young woman from a troubled past to better understand my own feelings, try to comprehend why her.
If I wasn’t going to destroy my closest friend Richard by stealing her away, I’d have to put this behind me. And fast.
I hoped I’d survive her not becoming mine. A raw truth that stabbed me with the consequences of my actions.
My escape plan to the other side of the world had been sabotaged. My newly fueled jet had been scheduled for takeoff from Santa Monica Airport a few hours ago. My destination, France.
My plane didn’t leave the runway. Paris had been derailed by the remarkable circumstances of my reunion with Henry, my older brother. My guilt and pain over what I once believed I’d put Henry through dissipated. His perspective ironically clashed with mine. I’d believed I’d destroyed him back in Afghanistan during a debriefing that had gone terribly wrong.
This morning, Henry had convinced me just how wrong I’d been. After too many years between us ruined by misunderstandings and painful mistruths, we’d spent precious time reuniting. This had been due to Mia’s meddling in my personal affairs. Henry was back in my life again. My reclusive older brother, whose war torn scars were the kind reflected in his eyes. The consequences of Mia’s visit with Henry had ensured a family’s reconciliation and old wounds healed. Yet another life Mia had saved and I’d scolded her for it.
My arrogance once again served as a reminder I didn’t deserve her.
I tried to think of anything but her…
My mind filled in the abyss of loss, projecting the vision of a haunting beauty vacillating beneath the morning sun.
Blinking off droplets to see better, my feet found the sand and I waded toward the beach.
Waves crashed around me as I wiped ocean from my eyes.
Mia ran toward me, splashing through the water.
My gaze swept the sand, searching for Richard and questioning why he’d brought her here. To soothe? Taunt? He was like a brother to me, but he was infuriating when it came to matters of the heart.
Mia came closer, standing waist deep in water, breathless. Her blonde locks windswept, her face flushed, and her blue eyes full of hope.
Back at Enthrall, one of my dominatrixes had told me Mia reminded her of a painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau; an impossible beauty. I’d prided myself on such a remarkable find and not once suspected I too would become enraptured.
Had an argument with Richard sent her back to where it began? This condo, her once safe refuge.
“Richard?” I broke my gaze from hers.
“He doesn’t want me anymore.”
Her words blurred the lines of possibilities.
Something about her failing as his submissive, something about him sending her away. Something about them being over.
The truth spilled, emphasizing my inability to take Mia where she’d needed to go. My attempt to tame her was unsuccessful. Her feistiness became an unpredictable complication. I’d fallen short of my objective.
“I disagree,” I said. “You just require the appropriate handling.” That made me grin.
She scrunched up her dress as though her drenched hem could be undone.
Bewitching.
“You’re here?” she said. “Not France?”
That diamond bracelet was back on her wrist. The delicate piece I’d placed there way back when I’d allowed myself the luxury of loving that which I couldn’t have.
She raised her hand. “What’s engraved on it?”
Had Richard really let her go?
I failed to understand how anyone would ever willingly let Mia go without a fight.
“The jeweler told Richard there’s writing on it. Only he didn’t tell me what.”
An engraving naked to the human eye.
My thoughts bounced back to Richard’s latest text. Vague words about what I deserved, that happiness was my right too, and I had to trust him and follow through on his wishes.
Surely he’d realize his mistake and come back for her? My focus settled on the horizon.
“Please tell me,” she said.
I feigned nonchalance. “It says ‘I will always love you.’”
A sob caught in her throat and she teetered forwards.
It was heart-wrenching to see her like this.
“Say it. Say the words.”
“I just did, Mia.”
“No, say it to me like you’re not reading it off my bracelet.”
Bury these feelings. You have no right to her.

“Technically it’s my bracelet.” Another shrug. “As it’s on your wrist.”

5 Stars

I loved this book.  I loved getting to see more Brandon and Brian.  I wish we got to see a little more Harper, but it was still amazing.

I loved that they continued to teach Liam about Chase.  I also thought the connection between Brandon and Liam, Brian and Liam were amazing.  The fact that he had so many people to fall back on was touching.  These people who were so close to Chase let Liam know about Chase and what he was like as a person.  They were there for Liam just like they were for Chase.

I absolutely loved Kash and Mason in this book.  I couldn't even imagine how it was growing up for Kennedy and Kira with Kash and Mason to deal with.

Kennedy and Liam made a perfect couple in my eyes.  They were perfect for each other and they helped each other grow.

This book was a perfect combination of Chase and Brandon.  I loved them both and you get them both in Liam!!!!!  Another amazing read by Molly McAdams!!

~ Excerpt ~

"Trying not to wake him, I slowly slid out from under his arm and off the bed to search for my clothes. Once I was dressed, I told myself to just leave, but I couldn’t help it—I turned to look at him in the light. I needed to be sure I hadn’t made him up. The images from last night tore through my mind again when I saw the large, tattooed arm resting where my body had just been. The muscles were well defined even relaxed, and the face had a boyish charm now that he was asleep. Such a difference from the predatory stare and knowing smirk I kept seeing in my mind. Before I could stop myself, I gently ran my fingers through his dirty-blond hair that, now in the sunlight, I could see had a red tint to it. And I knew if he opened them, those arctic blue eyes would once again captivate me. But I couldn’t risk that. I’d already stayed too long; I’d already made a mistake with him. Drunken one-night stands weren’t my thing. Drunken one-night stands with strangers in Vegas were even worse.
Straightening, I turned and walked quietly from the room."-- Molly McAdams, Trusting Liam

~ Excerpt ~
~ Prologue– Peyton Present ~
I had lost her. And not like before. Not like when she pushed me away and I’d refused to leave. This time, I had lost all of her. Her heart. Her adoration. It was all gone. The love she’d had for me vanished. Her eyes changed when she looked at me; the brilliance in them faded. I had betrayed her in the worst possible way. Braelynn was the only woman I’d ever loved. She was the one who changed my entire life. All I’d ever wanted to do was protect her, and I had spent months trying to do just that. I wanted to keep her away from my past—away from secrets that could hurt her and destroy us. But instead, I’d stomped on our relationship, dragging her heart through the mud in the process. Her pain and her heartache were entirely my fault. She might never forgive me for what I did. The day he showed up at my office changed everything. I shouldn’t have let him blackmail me but I was caught off guard, and the only thing I’d wanted to do was shelter Braelynn from harm’s way. I watched as she sat on the couch, her loose tendrils covering the tears that dripped from her eyes. The cut on her lip had swollen in the past thirty minutes. Her eye was bruising, turning shades of blue and purple with each passing second. The sling that the paramedics had placed over her body was supporting her right arm. She held her head low while talking to the authorities. Her hands were coated with his dried blood. She glanced in my direction and her eyes told me everything. With that one look, I knew I had lost her. Forever. *** Melissa tapped on my glass office wall. Looking up, I noticed her point to the elevator and give me the thumbs up. I need to give my secretary a raise for putting up with the unstable man she works for, I thought to myself. It had been a little over a month since I last saw Braelynn. She had ignored every one of my calls and she wouldn’t speak to me. Any time I tried to see her she avoided me, and the few short times I did bump into her, she wouldn’t even look at me. Her green eyes had always been the conduits to her emotions. Without being able to look deeply into them, I had no inkling how she felt. She’d given me no choice but to lie to get her here. She would be pissed but at least she had come. There was one thing Braelynn never did half-assed, and that was her job. She took pride in what people thought of her in the workplace. So I had Melissa reach out to her and explain that there was an old case she had worked on while at PH Esquire, and the client would only speak to Braelynn. She took the bait. She looked beautiful in a tight gray skirt and orange blouse. I tried to hide the grin that I knew was spreading across my cheeks. Her heels had slammed against the marble floors before stopping at Melissa’s desk. I assumed she’d want to talk to this previous client and leave as quickly as possible. When Melissa began to explain that there was no client, her face whipped in my direction and her nose crinkled with anger. She tossed her bag on Melissa’s desk and marched towards me. I loved this fiery vixen that couldn’t hold her tongue and braced myself for her anger. “I have a job across town!” she shouted, stomping into my office. “I have cases I need to review. I have a schedule I need to maintain. What do you want?” “You!” I stood, resting my hands on my desk. It was a simple answer. She was what I wanted. What I needed to get back. “I did not get stuck in rush hour traffic to hear this.” She marched over to my desk and mimicked my pose on the opposite side. “Do not summon me with some bullshit excuse again. I am not your dog, Peyton. I do not come when you call!” She stood and twirled back towards the door. “You do not walk away from me!” I knew how to push her buttons. If she walked out of my office now, it would take me months to get her back. She looked back, and her eyes pierced through me with hatred. “We are over. I don’t know how many more ways I have to paint it for you, Peyton,” her finger pointing between our bodies, “but I can’t do this anymore. You lied to me for months. I cried myself to sleep so many times. And for what? Because you were a coward!” I walked around my desk, meeting her in the middle of the office. “We. Are. Not. Over. That will never be true. We’re never going to be over because I won’t allow it. Get that through your head. I won’t ever get over you, so us being over is irrelevant.” I lifted my hand to touch her cheek, but she pulled away. “We’ve done this song and dance before.” Her voice cracked with the pain I’d caused her. “I can’t go back to living that way.” “How many times do you want me to apologize?” I reached for her forearm and she didn’t stop me.” Come back to me, Braelynn. Forgive me.” “Please stop . . . ” She looked at my hands on her skin. I knew she felt the electric current running through us because where our fingers connected, I felt the same current. “I love you.” It was all I could say. “Stop. I’m tired of your mind games. I cried for so long, thinking of everything I could have possibly done wrong. And it was you, not me.” She yanked her arm away. “I’m not a toy that sits on your shelf to play with when you’re bored and horny. I am not the girl who will run back to you because you said you were sorry and that you love me. You want me to forgive you, earn me! Until then, there is no us.” She paraded out of my office. If she wanted me to earn her, I would. Braelynn belonged with me.

Livia Jamerlan is the author of Divided. She is also a hopeless romantic who is always looking for her next love story to pop in her head. At first it was just an escape from reality, but now she uses it as a power to put all her feelings, hopes, and fears on paper. Deciding it was time to tell her story, she began to write. With each passing day the story grew, characters were formed, and what seemed like a hobby at first has now become a passion for Livia.
She is a New Jersey Native who loves spending time with her husband and two dogs Buddy and Daisy. When she is not writing or hiding behind her Kindle, you can find her with outside, gardening, at a local shopping center enjoying some retail therapy, or enjoy a pepperoni pizza
