I introduce Eevie around. She shakes hands like she means it, holds her own in conversation, and gets the occasional laugh out of guys I didn’t think had a sense of humour. She must’ve been taking note of some of the ins and outs of motocross, having the balls to ask some interesting questions.

Take note, people: funny, intelligent woman with the guts and looks to match. That confidence is heartbreak material. They’re practically drooling over her. It’s almost pathetic. If they thought they had half a chance, they’d be down on their knees in a millisecond begging for a shot.

Boys, it ain’t gonna happen. Every delectable inch of her is mine, including her heart.

Talking with some of the support crew, Jones edges his way into the conversation, standing a little close to Eevie for my liking. He puffs out his chest, and hooks his thumbs through the front loops of his jeans. Blonde hair and a baby face, he’s a pretty boy. A mummy’s boy. From the way he carries on, he probably got everything he ever wanted as a kid, and had all the latest gear. Mum could barely afford to buy my jerseys, and when she did, I wore them until I outgrew them. I had no choice but to make them last. Last round Jones threw a tantrum like a three year old over something stupid. He got what he wanted, though. Disgusting. Not that I give a shit where he’s come from; at least I know I don’t carry on like a fucking twit.

My eyes are on Jones, and he knows it. Damn it, if he doesn’t like pushing my buttons, and having Eevie here he’s gonna do anything he can to push. If he weren’t on my team I’d barely give him the time of day. He’d be half an alright bloke if he wasn’t so self-absorbed.

He acts like he’s engrossed in what Eevie’s talking about, but his eyes travel down her chest, and even lower, as if he’s trying to rip her clothes off purely with the power of his mind. It heats my blood more than it should.

“When you’re ready for a real man, Eevie, come knockin’ on my door,” Jones says. His eyes dart in my direction before resting back on Eevie’s tits. Fucking douchebag.

Eevie frowns, and purses her glossy lips. “Sorry, I don’t understand. If I’m ready for a real man, why would I knock on your door? Wouldn’t I just go home?” She bats those long lashes. That’s my girl.

Everybody erupts into a fit of laughter, me louder than most. Jones shakes his head, and playfully punches me in the arm. “You’re killin’ me, Aidan. You win today, and I hate you for it, and now your woman’s gonna break my heart,” he says, faking a southern American accent. He clutches his chest as if wounded, and winks at Eevie.

I take a long swig of my beer. “Life’s a bitch, Jones.” Now fuck off.

OMG what an ending to this serial series.  I love Clay!  Where can I find one of my own?  And I need a Purple Snow Globe!!

Julia is trying to find a way to have Clay in her life and keep her secret!  Things are coming to am end.  She was given a deadline and now she either pays up or gets severely injured.  She still doesn't want to open up to anyone.  What will she do?  Lose Clay?  Or finally confess her secrets?

Clay needs Julia, but hates liars.  He tries to forget her, but her can't.  She is never far from his thoughts even though she is clear across the country from him.   Will he pursue a relationship with her even though he thinks she is like his ex?  Or will he open his heart and find real love?

This is an amazing series.  I instantly fell in love with Clay and Julia and wanted them both to have their HEA!!  I cannot wait for more books by Lauren Blakely!!  She is becoming one of my go to authors when I need to get out of a book slump!!

This was a fast read.  I wanted a little more out of this book.  I am hoping to get it in part 2!!

Faren is struggling to survive and take care of her mother.  She is in desperate need for money.  How low will she go to get this money?
She then meets Mick and knows he is out of her league, but something about him draws her to him.  Will she give in? Or run?

Jared 'Mick' McKenna is a mysterious man.  We don't know a lot about him.  He's rich, rides a motorcycle, owns a strip club and wants Faren.  Will he get Faren?  Or does he scare her away?

Cannot wait to see what happens in part 2 of this serial novella!!

~ The Token Volume 2 ~

Faren Mitchell keeps the secret of her second job from the one man who could see her through some of the darkest moments of her life. She doesn't want Jared "Mick" McKenna for the billions he's amassed, but for the one thing she's never given any man: her innocence.

Mick's guilt over the injury he inflicted fuels the beginnings of something more; a sexual consumption of each other that neither were anticipating. When Faren's actions don't match her words, Mick suspicions are raised. His feelings turn to ones of protection after Faren is mugged and he can't reconcile his desire for her with the reality they now find themselves in.

This was another fast read.  They definitely draw you in and leave you hanging at the end.  I want to know what happenes with Faren and Jared McKenna.

Faren is still struggling for money.  She is doing more and more that she doesn't like.  How far will she go?  She won't take help from anyone and is still hiding from Jared.  Will she finally cave and ask for his help?

Jared can't figure Faren out.  He knows she wants him, but she is fighting it.  Will he get her to cave and tell him what she is afraid of?

Can't wait to read the third book to find out what happens with Faren and Jared!!

~ The Token Volume 3 ~

Faren collapses, narrowly escaping discovery upon hearing traumatic news delivered by Thorn. When Thorn becomes her uneasy accomplice in the deception of Mick, Faren decides she needs to come clean with the truth. Shelving her pride might be the last thing she wants to do, but as facts and actions continue to contradict one another, her hands become tied in the lies she creates to survive.

Faren only needs one last lap dance to erase the final debt that hangs over her mother's head like a cloud of doom. But when Ronnie Bunce circles closer to Faren and threatens the last sanctuary she possesses, circumstances unravel to reveal lies that run deeper than she knew.

These books keep getting better and better.  I need book four now!!

Faren is keeping a huge secret and it is getting harder to keep from McKenna.  She wants to tell him, but is afraid of his reaction.  She is afraid he will leave her.  Does she only want him to lose her virginity?  Or is there more?

Jared McKenna is still a big mystery, but we learn a little more about him in this book.  He is loyal and he will my tolerate Faren's career choice.  Will he listen to her?  Will she tell him? Or will he find out?

Cannot wait to see what happens next after all the drama that happened at the end of this book.

Faren doesn't think her heart can break any further until Mick discovers her sullied secret in the worst way possible.

Faren picks up the shattered remnants of her emotions and moves forward with a desperate plan to win Mick back that doesn't involve one penny of his billions. When Faren sees what remains of her life coming together with a synchronicity she can only dream of, the unexpected happens with Jay--and she must play a razor's edge of deception once again.

Most known for her starring role in a popular sitcom as a child, S.L. Jennings went on to earn her law degree from Harvard at the young age of 16. While studying for the bar exam and recording her debut hit album, she also won the Nobel Prize for her groundbreaking invention of calorie-free wine. When she isn’t conquering the seas in her yacht or flying her Gulfstream, she likes to spin elaborate webs of lies and has even documented a few of these said falsehoods.
