Release Day Blitz: Forever Ours by Cassia Leo

~ Synopsis ~

Sometimes, it takes more than love to mend a shattered heart.

After eight years of being tossed around from one home to another, never forming any meaningful friendships or bonds with her foster families, Claire's caseworker gives her an ultimatum: Behave or your next home will be a halfway house.

When fifteen-year-old Claire arrives at the home of Jackie Knight and meets Jackie's fifteen-year-old son, tattooed guitarist Chris, she fears she'll be seeing the inside of that halfway house soon. But Chris isn't like any other guy Claire has ever encountered and he soon gains her trust through his music and unwavering patience.

Claire has finally found her forever home and she and Chris soon find themselves falling in love.

But Chris’s dreams of musical stardom and Claire’s need for a stable home soon put their love in jeopardy. Chris struggles deeply with his plans for the future, entirely reluctant to leave Claire behind; until Claire does something that may break their love — and the only home she’s comes to know — forever.

Chapter Eleven
Chris
Forever Addicted

I tumble out of bed and drag myself out of my bedroom and into the hallway. When I push open the bathroom door, my eyes widen at what I’ve stumbled upon. Claire is standing next to the toilet, holding her new cell phone over the toilet bowl. Her lips are pressed together in a hard line across her delicate face.
“What the fuck?” is the first thing that slips out of my mouth.
“I don’t want this thing anymore.”
“Please don’t drop it in the toilet.”
“What is the point of having a cell phone if you never answer it?”
Oh, shit. She’s had this phone two months and it’s turned her into a crazy person. I don’t dare say this out loud, but I’m beginning to wish I’d gotten her something else for her birthday.
If I don’t call her back within a few minutes, she accuses me of playing games. If she doesn’t call me back right away, it’s because she was busy. I don’t think she even realizes how insane this sounds.
“What do you want me to do? Just tell me what you want and I’ll do it.” I inch closer to her and she smiles when she realizes she has my attention. “You want me to promise I’ll never wait more than five minutes to call you back? Would that make you happy?”
She loses the smile and purses her lips. “This phone has turned me into an addict. I look at it every two minutes to check for missed calls and texts from you. It’s sick!”
I reach for her wrist and slowly move my hand down until the phone is in my hand. I place it gently on the bathroom counter, then I look her in the eyes.
“Babe, you’re not addicted to your phone. You’re addicted to me.”
“Shut up!” she smacks my chest and I try not to laugh too loud.
I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her against me. She’s breathing hard as my lips hover over hers. “Don’t you have to get ready for school?”
“It’s a late day. I don’t have to be at school for two and a half hours.”
I smile. It actually makes me happy that I can’t remember what day is a late day anymore since I quit school. The only regret I have about quitting school is that Claire is alone now. With Jake and Rachel graduated, and Tristan hanging out with his new girlfriend, Ashley, Claire says she spends most of her time outside of class reading.
“Good, ‘cause I have plans for you…. I gonna text you for two hours straight.”
“You’re such a jerk!”
She tries to push me away and I lean in to kiss her. At first she closes her mouth, but she laughs when I plant a loud kiss on her cheek. And I seize the opportunity to kiss her hard.
Seconds later, we’re lying on my bed, the sheets bunched up beneath her and my hand easing down her waist to her hip. She grabs my hand to stop me and I smile as I move my hand up. I trail my lips over her smooth jaw and plant a soft kiss on her neck. I hear a sniffing noise and I quickly pull my head back, afraid she’s crying.
“Oh, my God. You smell so good,” she says, leaning forward so she can sniff my shoulder.
“Really?”
She grabs fistfuls of my T-shirt and brings them to her nose as she inhales. “Yes! Is that some kind of cologne or something?”
“No, it’s laundry soap and you use the same one.”
“No, it has to be something else.”
I reach up and lightly drag my fingertip across her jawline. “Yeah, it’s laundry soap and my pheromones, which you obviously can’t get enough of. Addict.”
“Shut up.”
“What? There’s nothing wrong with that. I can’t get enough of your scent either.” I bury my face in the crook of her neck and she lets out a soft gasp when I lick her skin. “You smell sweet and salty at the same time, like raspberries with a hint of the beach. It’s fucking intoxicating.”
“Really?” she breathes. “That’s what I smell like to you?”
I nuzzle my nose against the sensitive spot behind her ear and she giggles softly. “See what you do to me? I can’t get enough of you.”
I kiss her neck and her skin is so soft, I want to devour her. But I respect her boundaries. So minutes later, we’re on my bike on the way to drop her off at school.  As usual, she plants a kiss on the front of my helmet, leaving a kiss mark on the glass. Then she bats my hand away when I try to grab her ass as she walks away.
Something about this feels too perfect. I keep waiting for my mom to tell me that Claire’s being moved to another foster home. Or that my mom will find out about us and Claire’s caseworker will have her removed from our home.
Something bad is coming. It could be next week or next year. All I know is that this can’t continue the way it has. It’s too perfect. Nothing in my life has ever been this good or easy.

This book was really good.  It really surprised me.  With BDSM books you never know if they will be good or not.  I don't want a book of just sex.  It needs a plot also.  If you are looking for a lot of sex this book doesn't have that, but it is an amazing read.

Mia needs a job that pays more so she can take care of her step mom and not have to continue working two jobs.  She finds out about Enthrall from her friend Tara who is leaving. She isn't sure she can do this work, but needs the money so she is determined.  She will do anything to keep this job.  She is highly attracted to Richard, her boss.  He does everything possible to scare her away.  Will she prove herself?  Or does she run away?

Richard is just going through the motions of life.  He hasn't been able to feel in years.  Since his life was turned upside down.  He knows immediately that he needs to stay away from Mia, but she doesn't scare easily.  What will he do?  Can he risk letting her in?  Or is that too dangerous for him?

Cameron set up Mia.  He staged the interview and hiring her.  He had a feeling if anyone could help Richard it would be her.  But he never expected to be so intrigued by her himself.  Can he let her go to Richard?  Or does he claim her for himself?

This is an intriguing book about healing, love, heartache and being unworthy.  Can they all find their happiness? Can Cameron help them all heal and find himself and where he belongs? I cannot wait to read book two!!

This book was amazing.  It was better than Enthrall and now I want Enthrall Him.  I need to know what happens.

Mia wants to learning how to become the perfect sub.  Richard, her boyfriend doesn't think she is ready.  After learning about her father she has changed and withdrawn into herself.  Cameron sees that she wants to be dominated and talks Richard into training her.  Richard won't do it himself so he gives her over to Cameron.  Mia learns a lot in the two weeks she is with Cameron.  Will she want to leave Cameron and go back to Richard?

Richard wants the best for Mia.  He wants back his happy, carefree girl.  He doesn't know what to do to get her back.  He refuses to practice BDSM with her.  He thinks it will make her suffer more.  He finally relents when his best friend Cam talks with him.  Richard doesn't like taking on untrained subs so he asks Cam to do it for him.  He never expected Mia or Cam to fall in love with each other.  How does he handle getting Mia back?

Cameron doesn't believe in love.  He also is the most wanted Dom out there.  He is very particular about the subs he takes.  He wants Mia, but won't pursue her because he doesn't want to hurt Richard.  He agrees to train Mia never expecting to fall for her.  He tries being a jerk to make her hate him, but everything he does just draws them closer together.  What happens when he has to give her back to Richard?

This is an amazing second book to this trilogy.  I cannot wait to see what happens to Mia, Richard and Cameron.

CHAPTER 19

“POSSESSION IS THE ultimate pleasure,” said Cameron, admiring my nakedness from a few feet away. Had he spoken those words prior to securing me to the Saint Andrew’s Cross in the center of Chrysalis’s dungeon, I may well have put up more resistance. This free standing crisscrossed board would allow him full access to my body from every angle. He’d seduced and coaxed me to follow him and I’d gladly held his hand all the way down here, taking the short journey from the foyer into the lowest depths of Chrysalis. Passing door after door, each room begged to be investigated, but we’d not stopped to peek in any of them. We’d entered the room at the end of the hallway. The dungeon of his choice. Cameron had undressed me and I’d willingly let him, lifting my arms above my head as he’d stripped me. I’d obeyed like a well trained sub as he unhooked my bra strap and removed it. After nudging me back against the fixture, he’d positioned me spread-eagled with my wrists and ankles secured within leather straps. He’d pulled them tight to ensure movement was impossible. Operatic music bestowed a sensuous backdrop of soprano’s dramatically vying for attention, an extension of this already exotic mood. That daring decision had led me to this. Rising from subspace, I opened my eyes as though awakening from a dream. Spellbound, my thoughts spiraled out of control. My body trembled with need and a lust for him to be closer. All I wanted was to have him inside me. That was the only cure I needed. I saw that now. Five minutes ago, though it could have been longer, I’d been weighing the pros and cons of bolting out the front door and somehow, in true Cameron style, he’d casually led me into his red walled playroom. I’d walked beside him willingly. This dungeon was unlike any I’d seen, decorated with the decadence I’d come to expect from him. Several oriental-styled cabinets were flush against each wall and probably contained all sorts of whips, paddles, and other accoutrements. Mirrors and contemporary artwork hung between bronze sconces, providing an ethereal air. Low lights showcased the ceiling fixtures that were perfect for the art of suspension, dangling submissives and leaving them vulnerable, their body’s secured with rope or chains or whatever else the dominant desired. The wonder of floating would ensure they remained in subspace. Sharp hooks were fashioned on the end of some for those with a overly masochistic leaning. I offered a silent prayer he’d never use those on me. I wondered if, after our session, I’d get to recover on that regal four poster bed with its carved posts. It was artfully strewn with drapes and chains and leather cuffs, just in case the submissive got too comfortable.
9
A rush of excitement flooded my veins and my trembling limbs struggled to be free from these leather bindings. Twisting my wrists, I was shocked by the sting to my flesh. Being ensnared was mesmerizing. These straps felt agonizingly tight and trying to escape them was thrilling. I was soaking wet, and my scent gave me away. Cameron dragged what felt like a whip along my backside, sending spasms into the center of my universe, soothing, luring, seducing me to surrender. His handsome face came into focus and shadows danced over his beautiful features, his stern stance proving he ruled the room. He held up the whip for me to see. Cameron had stripped off his jacket and shirt and was now naked from the waist up, his black pants hanging loose over his hips, revealing his muscular sculptured body, that incredible toned torso flexing as he moved. He snapped the whip. “Are you worthy of this?” “If you deem me worthy, Sir.” “I do.” The strike to my left thigh made me flinch. He continued on, strike after strike, circling my body with the ease of a predator overwhelming its prey. The stinging left bright red welts and they burned and hummed when his strike left them. The snap of the crop between my thighs made me jump. With his left hand, he eased apart my labia and flicked the leather strap across my clit. I let out a cry, and a groan of need. Working at a steady pace, he snapped it continuously until my moaning hinted I was close. He raised the whip to my pelvic bone and slid it along my abdomen, up and over my nipples. Satisfied I’d calmed, he again lowered the whip, torturing my pussy once again with the curl of leather, teasing and striking, flicking and patting. He ceased those delicious strikes, his face reflecting the triumph of masculine control. “Mia, you are soaking wet. Good girl.” I shuddered when he squeezed my clit between his thumb and forefinger. “Who does this belong to?” “Well as it’s on my body, I can only assume it belongs to me,” I said. He threw the whip down and disappeared behind me. Oh no. I really was out of my mind.

Cover Reveal: Translucent by Erin Noelle

Releasing June 22, 2014

add-to-goodreads-button31

~ Synopsis ~

Sometimes you reach a point where you just can’t take any more – a breaking point some call it. The day I watched my husband murder the woman who was pregnant with his child, my point didn’t just break, it exploded like a magazine firing through the barrel of a fully-automatic AK-47. Literally. I am no longer his American Princess, nor am I his slave. Now, I’m a murderer in hiding. My name was Bryleigh Carter Oliveira and that was my story.

Translucent is one woman's story of breaking free, starting over, and learning to trust again through willful submission.

~ Excerpt ~

Meet Madden Decker…

Immediately, she hangs her head to hide the tears and crosses her arms across her chest to cover her boobs. “I’m sorry for this,” she croaks in between her sobs. “I just want to go home.”

Rushing to her side, I’m hesitant to touch her, not wanting to inflict any additional pain. I lift her chin gently, forcing her to look up at me. “Don’t apologize, sweet girl,” I whisper soothingly. “Let’s get you cleaned up, and then we can talk about it. I didn’t mean to snap at you.” Tenderly, I kiss each of her tear-stained cheeks before leading her by the hand over to the shower.

“The spray of the shower will sting too badly. It’s better to clean them with a washcloth and then alcohol,” she reasons, obviously having done this before. “I can take care of it, Madden."

I stop mid-stride and turn to her, knowing damn well my eyes are full of pity – I can’t help it. “Okay, but please let me help you.”

With a slight nod of her head, I open the linen closet, pull out a couple of cloths, and guide her back to the sink. Wetting the first washcloth, I drop to my knees in front of her, putting me eyelevel with the lacerations. She keeps her arms tightly wrapped over her chest as I go to work, carefully cleaning up the red streaks from her bony rib cage and concave stomach which I notice aren’t all fresh, thus confirming this is a common occurrence. I bite my tongue to not comment on her frailness, but I don’t want to tear her down any more than she already is at the moment. Instead, I make a mental note to feed her every chance I get.

After nearly fifteen silent minutes, all of the blood is wiped away and I grab the bottle of rubbing alcohol from the medicine cabinet. Returning to my kneeling position, I peer up at her, making sure she’s ready for the burning sensation I know is about to come. Her eyes are closed tightly and she’s chewing nervously on her bottom lip. Her helplessness and fragility affect me in the most profound way. I want - no scratch that - I need to fix her like I need to take my next breath, and I have no fucking clue why. It scares me shitless.

~ Excerpt ~

What the hell am I doing?

I cling on to Dex for dear life: my arms wrapped around his waist, pressed intimately against his body as the motorcycle weaves fast through downtown.

The city lights flash past us in a neon blur, bright and electric as the adrenalin pumping through my veins. I can feel every rumble of the engine echo up through my body as I hold on tight to the solid muscle of the stranger between my thighs.

Not a stranger, I correct myself in disbelief. Dex Callahan. The rock-star. The legend.

The man who wouldn’t let me walk away.

I take a shaking breath, the wind whipping around me as we speed through the city. Under the helmet, everything sounds muffled, until I can only hear my heartbeat pounding a scolding mantra with every mile, feel the contours of his body through his leather jacket as I cling on for dear life.

 This is crazy. I’m crazy.

No, a voice scolds me. You’re alive.

When Dex finally pulls the bike to a stop, I’m surprised to feel a flash of disappointment.

“Pretty fun, right?” Dex laughs, lifting the helmet from my head.

I shake out my hair, wondering how much of a mess I look. “Motorcycles are dangerous,” I say, instead of admitting just how good that just felt.

He smirks. “Welcome to life on the edge, darlin’. I knew it would look good on you.”

I blush, looking away. Now we’re far from the party, and all the reasons I had to run, I’m reminded just how far out of my depth I am with a man like him. He’s probably used to groupies and daredevils -- rock chick girls who wouldn’t think twice about leaving a party with a man they’ve never met before, not some ordinary girl whose head is still spinning just from a motorcycle ride across town.

“Where are we?” I take in our surroundings; an exclusive apartment block in the arts district across town. There’s a marble lobby gleaming inside, and a doorman poised to help us through the glass doors.

I catch my breath, feeling a sudden panic. He brought me straight to his place? He thinks we’re going to...? “I didn’t mean--” I stutter. “When I said, we should get out of there--” I stop, my face burning up with embarrassment.

“What?” Dex looks confused. Then realization dawns. “No, sweetheart. I wanted to show you something, that’s all.”

He beckons me to follow him inside.

“Like your bedroom?” I ask cautiously, starting to follow. “Because I told you before--”

“You’re not that kind of girl,” Dex finishes, smiling. “I know. But, I’m going to let you in on a little secret.” He drops to a whisper, leaning in close enough for me to feel his body, hot against mine.

“You want to be.”
