~ Our Review ~
4 Star Review by Heather

This book is a sweet love story with a little suspense mixed in.

Emily is not really good at relationships. She is always falling into sex and then the relationship is over.  So when she gets in a car accident and meets the HOT SEXY firefighter, Avery Martin, she wants to take things slow.  Can she take it slow and get to know him?  Will they even have a chance?

Avery is a firefighter who loves his job.  He doesn't have a lot of time to date so he doesn't.  He is instantly attracted to Emily when he sees her laying in her unconscious.  He goes to visit her in the hospital and it is like love at first sight.  How does he pursue Emily without scaring her away?

This book was good.  I think it needed a lot more angst.  It just seemed to all fall together too easily for me, but it is definitely worth the read.

Mia Murphy may be married to the man of her dreams. But the man in her dreams is the one that got away—her high school crush.

Mia’s stuck in a rut, just like every other stay-at-home mom, and the only thing saving her from her monotonous routine is her perfect husband, Declan. He’s gorgeous, he adores her, and the man stole her heart with his sexy singing voice. Mia feels like the luckiest girl in the world, until she discovers that Mr. Perfect is not Mr. Faithful. Mia is devastated. Everything she once believed about Declan and their marriage is now covered in a big cloud of doubt and regret. But when Mia receives an invitation to her high school reunion, she finds herself abandoning the present for the oh-so alluring pull of the past. Although her heart still belongs to her husband, inescapable thoughts of her crush, Noah, resurface. And ten years later, Noah isn’t afraid to make his move. When the build-up of fantasies and ‘what ifs' comes to a head, sparks fly and it’s Mia’s turn to question if her marriage is everything she wants out of life. ~ Man of My Dreams ~
Chapter 1 (Excerpt #2)

With reluctance, I flutter my eyes open slowly and come face to face with a blond haired, blue-eyed angel.

“Mommy, me and Charlie want waffles and she needs you to wipe her butt. She just did poo.”

And there it is…hello reality. Little girls, ass wiping and breakfast at… six forty five! “Girls, are you joking? We need to go back to bed for a little while, Mommy’s tired.” And she was just about to get off to her high school crush.

“No! We not tired anymore,” yells Charlie from the bathroom.

“Well I am! Cara, go wipe your sister’s butt, please, please, please, do Mommy this favor?” Great, I’ve resorted to begging. I pull the covers over my head and let out an exaggerated, frustrated huff of air. I hear giggling on the outside of my cocoon. I peek out unwillingly.

“You like a cranky bear, Mommy. Like in the Goldilocks book.”

“Yeah, well, bears are cranky when they’re woken up from their hibernation.” And even more cranky when woken up from a steamy sex dream.

“I done, I done, I done!” Charlie chants impatiently.

I curse Declan and his business trip as I drag myself out of the bed, hobble into the bathroom, and complete the first ass-wiping of the day. After washing my hands and splashing some water on my face, I look at my daughters and am taken aback by the looks on their faces.

“What? What are you looking at?”

The little devils eye me with identical dancing, glacier-blue-eyes.

Charlie just points, giggling, while Cara rolls her eyes and says, “Your hair!”

I turn to the mirror and gasp at my reflection. “Wow, I really do look like a bear. Sorry girls, crazy dream.” Yeah, crazy and wonderful, and you pains in the asses woke me from it.

“You’re still beautiful, Mommy, don’t worry.” Cara hugs my leg.

“Yeah, you bo-oo-ful,” Charlie agrees, hugging my other leg.

“Not quite as beautiful as either of you angels. Now, let me brush up and then we’ll go down for breakfast. Meet ya down in five?”  I tap them on their freshly wiped butts and nudge them off.

“Okay,” their voices already trailing off, “we set the table.”

“Okay, girls, thanks lots.”

I grab my phone, ignoring the early hour. Grace insisted I text her the next time I had the dream. So I do.

Again! 2 in 1 month. What the hell is wrong with me?

What the hell is wrong with me? For the past ten years, at least once every few months, I have dreamt about hot, steamy, glorious sex with Noah. Where our hands roam each other’s bodies, leaving no flesh untouched. Where he claims me as his own and I let him wrap his arms around me and tell me how much he loves me.

But I digress.

Cover Reveal: FOUR SECONDS TO LOSE by K.A. Tucker

~ ABOUT FOUR SECONDS TO LOSE ~

Owning a strip club isn’t the fantasy most guys expect it to be. With long hours, a staff with enough issues to keep a psych ward in business, and the police regularly on his case, twenty-nine year old Cain is starting to second guess his unspoken mission to save the women he employs. And then blond, brown-eyed Charlie Rourke walks through his door, and things get really complicated. Cain abides by a strict “no sleeping with the staff” rule. But being around Charlie challenges Cain’s self-control…and it’s been a long time since any woman has done that.

Twenty-two-year old Charlie Rourke needs a lot of money, really fast, in order to vanish before it’s too late. Taking her clothes off for men makes her stomach curl but Charlie tells herself that at least she’s putting her acting and dancing skills to good use. And though her fellow dancers seem eager to nab their sexy, sophisticated, and genuinely caring boss, she’s not interested. After all, Charlie Rourke doesn’t really exist—and the girl pretending to be her doesn’t need to complicate her life with romance.

Unfortunately, Charlie soon discovers that developing feelings for Cain is inevitable, that those feelings may not be unrequited—but losing him when he finds out what she’s involved with will be more painful than any other sentence awaiting her.

FOUR SECONDS TO LOSE is due to be released November 4, 2013.

~ Our Review ~
4 Star Review by Heather

This book is good.  I think it was a little slow at the beginning, but half way through it picked up.

Everly is a Physical Therapist student.  She has a year left until so graduates.   She doesn't have a social life.  She goes to school, volunteers at sports rehab clinics, works and does some things for her mentor Dr. Wyatt Parker.  So when Wyatt asks her to work with his brother Cole, so his injury would go unreported and possibly leaked to the media,  she can’t turn them down.  She owes Wyatt, because he is always helping her out.  Can she work with Cole without losing her heart?

Cole is an all-star pitcher.  He has messed up his shoulder, but knows with the right treatment he can be on top of his game again.  He doesn't want his team to know about it because his contract is up this year and he doesn't want to be traded.  Can he convince Everly to help him out?  Will he end up falling for Everly or breaking her heart?

I feel this story had the potential to be an amazing book, but it just fell short.  I am not sure why exactly, but it was slow in places and I think it needed more "IT" factor.  With that being said I would still recommend this book.

Blog Tour: Breaking Through The Wall by Ashley Piscitelli

~ Synopsis ~

Jason Smith hated the whole idea of relationships and commitment. He got what he needed from girls but that's where it ended.  At least that was how it was suppose to be.  After a traumatic event he gets involved with the one girl who could force him to change his ways.  Will he be able to commit to her though?  Or will he drive her away before he ever has the chance to have her?

Madison and Carter finally found happiness but their lives have just been turned upside  down, by someone who refuses to go away.  Can their relationship survive the tragedy and pain that he has caused?  What if justice doesn't always win, and the bad guys get away?

**Breaking Through the Wall is for mature audiences only--strong language, and explicit sexual content are apparent.**

 ~ Our Review ~
5 Star Review by Heather
OMG I loved this book.  It was ah-mazing.  It wasn't what I was thinking when I saw it was a trilogy.  I loved book one Playing With Fire.  So I assumed book two was going to be about Maddie, Carter and Chris.  Well I got a lovely surprise and it was about Jason and Nicole.  Yes, we get a lot of Maddie and Carter also.

Nicole has wanted Jason from the moment she met him.  Finally on New Year’s Eve when they were both drunk they hooked up.  She never expected him to treat her like crap afterwards.   She tried to get him to talk, but he wouldn't.  She didn't know what to think because he would say he needed her and then he just fucked her and left.  She knows he has commitment issues.  Can she  finally break down his walls?  Or does she finally move on?

Jason is a womanizer.  He loves 'em and leaves 'em.  He doesn't want to get attached, because that means if they leave he will be heartbroken.  He tries to stay away from Nicole, because he knows she is the type of girl who deserves a man who wants a relationship.  After one night with her, he knows that his feelings have changed.  He knows after their first time together he is in trouble so he decides to just leave her while she sleeps.  He tries to forget her with other chicks, but he always comes back.  Will he eventually push her away for good? Or will he learn to trust she won't leave him?

Maddie and Carter deal with the abduction of Maddie by her ex Chris. The hardest part is not knowing if he will be convicted of kidnapping, because his dad has money and power.  He is fighting the charges and major things are disappearing.  Will Maddie and Chris deal with the stress and work through it together? Or will Maddie close back up again?

This book leaves you wanting more.  You feel like you are right there with each and every character in the story.  You will want to smack some sense into some of these guys and you will want to offer comfort to the ladies.  I definitely recommend this series.  If you haven't read Playing With Fire you need to go now and buy it.  Then read this book.  It will give you a book hangover big time, but so worth it!!!  Ashley Piscitelli great job with entertaining us and keeping us captivated throughout this whole book!!!

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Shine Not Burn by Elle Casey

~ Synopsis ~
IT HAPPENED IN VEGAS.

I can't be held responsible. Things that happen there are supposed to stay there, right? Right? Yeeeah. Not so much.

Andie's just days away from tying the knot, but there's just ooooone little glitch. Apparently, she's already married. Or someone with her name is married to a guy out in Oregon of all places, and the courthouse won't issue her a marriage license until it's all cleared up. Tripping her way through cow pies and country songs to meet up with a man who gets around places on horseback is her very last idea of how to have a good time, but if she's going to get married, make partner at the firm, and have two point five kids before she's thirty-five, she needs to get to the bottom of this snafu and fix it quick ... before her fiance finds out and everything she's been working toward goes up in flames.

~ Our Review ~
4 Star Review by Heather
Wow this book really blew me away.  It was Ah-Mazing.  This book keeps you going from page one until the end.  I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard in parts. I had tears in my eyes because I was sad.  It made me happy.  I felt like I was living this story.
Andie has her life planned out and doesn't want to venture away form that plan.  All Andie does is work work work.  She doesn't want to go to Vegas for her best friend’s bachelorette party, but gets guilted into going.  There she meets this sexy cowboy, Mack, who she can't get enough of.  Is it true What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas?
A couple years later Andie is thrown off guard when she realizes she can’t marry her fiancé because she is already married.  So she hunts down Mack so she can get a divorce.  She feels this connection with him, but tries to hide it so she can stick to her life-plan.  Can Andie really give up a chance at love to stick to her life-plan that won't bring her life happiness?
Mack was an upright guy who didn't like to go out.  He didn't want to go to Vegas for his brother’s bachelor party, but he couldn't ditch his brother.  He decided to go play blackjack while waiting for his brother and friends.  The last thing he expected was to end up wearing this hot ladies drink.  They laughed and enjoyed each other’s company while playing.  He knew instantly that he wanted to be with her.  He never did understand how she could just walk away from what they shared.  So when she showed up asking for a divorce he refused.  Can he prove that he really loves her? Or will she walk away because of her life-plan? Is he willing to let her walk away again?
This book is filled with so much emotion.  It will leave you wanting more.  I was hoping there would be books on Mack's brother Ian and Andie's best friend Candice.  Let me say that this is A MUST READ!!! It is definitely a top 10 read of the year for me.  :)
