Blog Tour and Giveaway: Jet by Jay Crownover
Synopsis
With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.
Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.
Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

Our Review
4.5 Star Review by Annie
“Love isn’t perfect. It’s hard work and sometimes it’s more effort to be in love than it is to just run away. If you keep looking for perfect, the real thing is going to pass right by you.”
Jay Crownover has given us another sexy book to the Marked Men series. I couldn’t put it down and when I was forced to take a break I couldn’t get the characters and the story out of my head. This book was AH-MAZING!
Jet Keller is the hot lead singer of a local rock band, every guy wants to be him and every girl wants to be with him. In search of the girl who is the perfect 10 he discovers that the girl for him has always been right next to him, well technically across the hall, all along.
“Sometimes, things need to change, because there just isn’t any way for them to stay the same.”
When Ayden Cross moved to Denver she left a hopeless life behind, and created a new one. The one thing she want more than anything is her roommate Jet, but he brings out the old Ayden and she can’t allow that. When Ayden learns that her past isn’t where she thought it was, she turns to her friends and the boy she loves.
“You already lit the fuse, Ayd. You better be ready to deal with the boom that follows.”
I loved, and I mean LOVED, Rule so when Jay Crownover announced Jet I was excited. I was even more excited when I started the book, because Jet did not let me down. It was full of hot guys with tattoos and piercings, and the girls who love them.
First off I am just going to say that Jet is probably one of my new favorite rockers, he can stand his own against some of the greatest book band boys. Jet just exudes sex appeal and makes me blush just thinking about him and his “piercings”.
This book allowed us to get to know Ayden and Jet better, but it also gave us insight to the other characters we have grown to love, including Rule and Shaw.
I give this book a 4.5 stars. Why am I not giving it 5 stars? Ayden. I loved her character and she was somewhat relatable. She was struggling with who she used to be, and who she is now. The only problem is she frustrated the crap out of me. I can only take so much back and forth, and then she repeated the same thing over and over again. It feels like you are stuck in a continuous loop with Ayden. Great job Jay Crownover I can’t wait until we get book three!!!!!
Jay Crownover is the bestselling author of Rule. Like the characters in her Marked Men series, she is a big fan of tattoos. She loves music and wishes she could be a rock star, but since she has no aptitude for singing or instrument playing, she'll settle for writing stories with interesting characters and that make the reader feel something. She lives in Colorado with her three dogs.

Rock Star Blog Tour and Giveaway: Jaded & Faded by Mercy Amare
I'm Scarlett Ryan.
Yes, THAT Scarlett Ryan.
I live an extraordinary life: millionaire rock star, owner of exotic cars, pictures of me in every magazine, millions of fans, and a name that is recognized world wide. It's supposed to be my dream come true. But, my life IS a fantasy, and I want real. I want exciting. I want... NORMAL. So, I moved from California to Florida, hoping to obtain some normalcy. Instead I find...
Stephan Montgomery.
He's an arrogant jerk. Seriously, I hate him. I swear if he tells me one more blonde joke, I will punch him... again... Unfortunately I can't stop thinking about him, or his gorgeous green eyes. Trust me, I know that he's bad for me. If only my heart would listen.
I also find out that my parents have kept a LIFE CHANGING secret from me. I need to know the truth.
The harder I strive for normal, the stranger things seem to get.

Jaded is a fast, fun YA book. With a storyline had more twist and turns then a corkscrew.
Scarlett Ryan is tired of being everyone’s perfect pop princess. She just wants to be herself. So she decides to take a break and finish off her senior year being a typical normal girl, but she forgets that no matter what she will never be just a normal teen.
“Guys I am human. I shit too…” After a short pause, I ask, “Am I allowed to say shit?”
Her first day of high school she meets two hot stepbrothers, Ethan and Stephan. Ethan becomes Scarlett’s best friend and tutor. While Stephan is the most annoying obnoxious boy Scarlett has ever met, but for some reason she just can’t get over that pretty smile and bright green eyes.
“My heart is screaming at me to take a chance and go for it. But my head is telling me to stop, because he is going to break my heart.”
Along the way she finds out that her family isn’t at all what she thought it was. Scarlett has to learn how to deal with the bumpy ride called life.
The book was filled with not only sweet touching moments, but a lot of hot sexual tension. I cherished all the characters in this book, and I was rooting for them all to succeed in life. It was uplifting to read a book where a teenage girl is independent, sensible and is well grounded.
This book has a cliffhanger, but it is nothing that will have you screaming and throwing your expensive reading device against the wall.

I left Hope – the only place I’ve ever felt at home. So now what? Where do I go from here?
When I left, I didn’t just leave my home. I left my friends, my sisters, and Stephan… I just found them. I can’t lose them now.
I know that I want to do MY music. I need to remember WHY I wanted to play music in the first place. And the only way to get that is by firing my dad, but that may be harder than I thought.
On top of everything, I now have cameras following me around everywhere. Even my own home isn’t safe anymore.
I’ve come to realize that normal will never be an option for me.

“Life is about taking chances. It’s about taking risks, no matter what the stakes. When I die I want to be able to say that I lived life to the fullest. I want to have no regrets. Because if you play it safe your whole life, are you really living?”
Mercy Amare did an amazing job continuing the story of my favorite pop princess and the hot boy next door. Faded didn’t let me down. I was hooked into the lives and drama of the characters.
“I don’t know how many more ways that I can say this, but you are mine. I’m offering forever here.”
Scarlett Ryan’s natural instinct is to run from all her problems, but not this time. This time she is going to stand up for herself and fight for the things she wants. The only thing standing in her way is herself and her fears. Does Scarlett let all her demons destroy the family she built, the friends she made and the boy she loves?
“What would Bieber do?”
I liked Jaded, but I absolutely loved Faded. The characters were more relatable and the writing was amazing.
I loved how Scarlett’s character grew; we got to watch her go from a naïve pop star to a confident woman. As if you didn’t already love Stephan enough this book showed him in a different way that made you fall even more in love with him. I loved the secondary characters just as much as the main characters, and I hope we get to learn more about them as the series continues.
The sexual tension and back and forth in this book drove me crazy. I also was surprised to find that this book ended with another cliffhanger. I am officially counting down the days until Hated (Rock Star #3) comes out!
Playlist
Gold Trans Am by Ke$ha – if the Rock Star Trilogy was a TV show, this would be it’s theme song. I listened to it constantly while writing both Faded & Hated.
Beverly Hills by Weezer.
Battle Scars by Lupe Fiasco.
Kiss You by One Direction – I feel like this song fits Scarlett’s personality. I like to listen to it when I write flirty scenes with Scarlett & Stephan.
Too Close by Alex Clare – I felt like though Faded, this was Scarlett’s song. Everything was just out of reach for her…
Hands All Over by Maroon 5 – I used this for all the super hot scenes ;)
One and Only by Adele.
She’s Not Afraid by One Direction.
5 Minute of Fame by Barlow Girl – this song is for Mona!

Release Day Launch and Giveaway: Faking It by Cora Carmack
Mackenzie “Max” Miller has a problem. Her parents have arrived in town for a surprise visit, and if they see her dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings, they just might disown her. Even worse, they’re expecting to meet a nice, wholesome boyfriend, not a guy named Mace who has a neck tattoo and plays in a band. All her lies are about to come crashing down around her, but then she meets Cade.
Cade moved to Philadelphia to act and to leave his problems behind in Texas. So far though, he’s kept the problems and had very little opportunity to take the stage. When Max approaches him in a coffee shop with a crazy request to pretend to be her boyfriend, he agrees to play the part. But when Cade plays the role a little too well, they’re forced to keep the ruse going. And the more they fake the relationship, the more real it begins to feel.

Our Review
5 Star Review by Heather
I have been anticipating this book for a couple months now. I was so excited to find out how the book ended and who Claire ended up with. I was sad to find out that this book was a bigger cliffhanger than Relentless, but also excited to get more Claire, Adam and Chris!
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride. One of my favorite types of books is love triangles. I was team Adam going into this book and knew that Cassia Leo was going to have her work cut out for her to make me fall in love with Chris. Although I did like Chris I did not fall in love with him the way I did Adam. I am team Adam all the way. I just hope that Claire feels the same way.
Claire is struggling with the decision of giving her and Chris' child up for adoption. She was doing it to give her child a better life and not make Chris struggle between being a rock star and a father. Since her decision to let Chris go and live the life he has always wanted and giving up her child she takes up meditating to help cope with everything. Since having Chris back in her life she is questioning her feelings with Adam. Is Adam the guy who can give her a home? Or is Chris the guy who has always been the one to give her a home?
Adam is a hot surfer. He has his own demons he is trying to fight. He wants Claire more than he has ever wanted anyone. He is struggling with Chris being back in the picture. He trusts Claire, but knows Chris is willing to do anything to get her back. Adam is hiding the fact that he is going to Hawaii for work for 8 weeks. He tells Claire last minute and that doesn't go well, but he is scared to be all the way across the country from her when Chris is right there for her. He is afraid he will lose her to Chris if he leaves, but he doesn’t have a choice. This is the last thing he has to do for his dad and he will be free. Can Adam be enough for Claire while he is in Hawaii? Will he be able to get past his own demons without pushing Claire away? Can he prove to Claire that he can be her home?
Chris is a rocker. He has always wanted to play music. His first paying gig was when he was sixteen. So a year ago when Claire told him to go to LA he did. He decides to live it up and become a manwhore. He never thought that Claire would fall in love with another guy so fast. He thought she would welcome him back with open arms. He know regrets not getting in touch with her sooner. If he had would she have given the baby up for adoption? Would she have fallen in love with Adam? Will she go with the relationship that is so familiar? Or will she follow her heart?
All I can say is this book left me wanting more Claire, Adam and Chris. The journey that they all take in this book is very emotional. It is a must that you read Reckless and then immediately read Pieces of You. You will not be disappointed. These books will definitely be on my top reads list of this year. I can’t wait for book three so I can finally find out who she picks!

Release Event and Giveaway: For Everly by Raine Thomas
For Everly
Raine Thomas
May 27, 2013
New Adult Contemporary Romance
Synopsis
Determined to overcome a dark and tragic past, college student Everly Wallace is only months away from earning her degree in physical therapy. She’s consumed with school, caring for her ailing grandfather, and figuring out how to pay the next bill. The last thing she wants is a relationship, but it just might be the one thing she needs.
Major League pitcher Cole Parker hasn’t fought for anything in his life. He went from a privileged upbringing to a multimillion dollar All-Star career. But when his pitching shoulder starts to give him trouble at only twenty-four years old, he faces the possibility of his injury becoming public knowledge and costing him everything.
When an act of betrayal brings the truths they both fear to light, Cole will have to fight for the first time in his life…not just for his career, but for Everly’s love.
Excerpt
Cole looked back at Wyatt. “I don’t think it’s a great idea to receive treatment by a student, Wy, genius or not. What if she screws up my arm even worse than it is?”
“Then you’ll get treated by a proper specialist, which you should do in the first place.”
Cole narrowed his gaze. “That’s not funny.”
“Hey, I’m just telling you like it is. You’re the one who thinks it’s worth risking under-the-table treatment in order to garner top dollar on your next contract.”
That wasn’t the only reason he was so concerned about keeping up appearances in regards to his physical health, but he let it pass. He knew how the business worked. There was no way he was going to come out to the public about his shoulder. Not if there was an alternative.
“What about another student?” Cole insisted. “Someone further along in their studies?” Preferably some Poindexter who doesn’t look so good in a skirt, he thought.
Wyatt shook his head. “There isn’t anyone more experienced than Everly. She might still be a couple of semesters from earning her doctorate, but she could pass the needed courses with flying colors right now. I’d wager that girl has more practical experience in her field than any doctoral student at GSU.”
They stopped conversing when Everly walked up with a tray. She placed their bowls of crab risotto in front of them, as well as Cole’s drink. The smell of the food was amazing.
“Is there anything else I can get you two right now?” she asked.
“No, I think we’re good here, thanks,” Wyatt said.
“All right. You know how to reach me if you think of anything.”
This time she winked at Wyatt before she walked away. Cole couldn’t deny the strange resentment he felt that the wink wasn’t for him. He shook his head at himself. Finding a hot date hadn’t ever been a problem. He didn’t need to worry about that right now.
“I feel like you’re forcing me into this decision,” he told Wyatt, picking up a fork and stabbing his risotto with it.
Wyatt’s brown eyes leveled on his. “Cole, I’ve reviewed the scans we took when you were in the hospital. You should have started treatment weeks ago to get ready for the season. If you feel like I’m forcing you into this decision, well, that’s probably because I am. You’ve got three choices: don’t do anything and deal with the pain, go public about the injury and seek the services of a specialist…or Everly.”
